I certainly agree! I am in a PBEM like that and it is weird when you sign a Peace Treaty with yourself.

I agree. That's why we would need a picking order. But reverse it once leaders have been picked. So if you get first choice leader, you get last choice civ. Works well IMO

We are awaiting our Host for final confirmation of settings and player list.

I reckon we are over maximum unless the Map size is increased to Huge. On Large we are going to start sitting on eachother's laps with more than a dozen people. I don't really like Gigantic as intercontinental War becomes almost impossible until very late in the Game and with Epic Speed and no Tech Trade that is going to take a very long time indeed. Also with this size of Game I agree with Pinchak on Time Victory being disabled.

If we have no tech trade I'm not so sure that we need to play on Epic. tech progress should be slow enough.

Can we speed through the first 100 turns? Maybe set the timer to 8hrs for the first 100 and then after that put the timer to 36hrs.
