Once we get a boat yeah we should get over to that other land area. Wouldn't be expoitive at all since I am 99% sure that units have to wait a turn before moving off a boat.

I opened the save up before work to start thinking about what to do. I will get our 2nd city up there to block Peter assuming he doesn't settle there first. I found a spot where we only need one culture growth to completely block land movement and will still have access to the 2 resources up there, forget what they are, pigs maybe and a luxury type?

Anyway, I will play my turns right after work.

2600 - Karakorum finishes that settler and begins work on an archer. One scout is ordered to watch Peter for any sudden moves and another is sent to escort our settler safely. Our settler starts moving toward a location to choke Peter. Our third scout is still healing.

      2560 - Movement continues.

2520 - Scout to watch Peter arrives, no activity so far.

2480 - We mastered Agriculture and start Mining to eventually up production in Karakorum.

2440 - Peter appears more isolated than I first thought.

2400 - Beshbalik is founded and immediately starts on an Obelisk to build culture. Pigs and spices will be ours once we expand as well as cutting Peter off. A scout guards our city for now. Our third scout spots a fish we hadn't seen before.

2360 - Science is reset to 90% so we are at +1 income instead of -1.

2320 - Our empire continues to prosper.

2280 - Karakorum finishes its archer. It needs one more turn to grow so I start a fishing boat with the intention to swith to a worker next turn.

2240 - Karakorum is switched to a worker.

2200 - We learn Mining and start on Animal Husbandry.

2160 - 2 warriors and a settler from the evil Peter are spotted.

2120 - Judiasm is founded in a distant land.

2080 - A scout reaches Karakorum for temporary defense as the archer was sent to Beshbalik so stimy any ambitions of Peter.

2040 - Peter's settler and warriors continue past Beshbalik.

2000 - Beshbalik finishes the Obelisk, 10 more turns until expansion!

1960 - We find out we are the 2nd most cultured civ, Peter sits at 5th place.

1920 - Peter's capitol expands into Beshbalik a bit, but not too worry, those squares will flip back on our expansion. He also founds his 2nd city and their was much lamenting heard in our empire!

1880 - Our scout bravely fends off a barbarian warrior but decides it is wise to heal before continuing. Our first worker is build and Karakorum starts on another archer. Our worker heads to the tasty looking corn.

1840 - Our worker starts on a farm, with 2 turns left until Animal Husbandry is discovered and 6 more turns until Beshbalik expands, Quinalla hands over the reigns to the next great ruler.

Here is the state of affairs, I turned culture borders on so you can see the city locations.

Great turn! Too bad about not being able to bottle Peter in. Ah well...

                    Good reign, quinalla!

Yeah it seems as though there might be no more land to settle beyond Peter's capitol so it was his only opportunity at expansion, and he got lucky!

He took a really strategic location... when his border expands he will have all the spices and dye! Plus it is built on a hill for extra defense. That city will surely be a thorn in our side ...

Yeah, I forsee an invasion of that city once we've had a chance to build a few more of our own.

                            Good work Cado!

HarvestTime, it's your turn now !

Cado, which copper source do you mean? I don't see it quite well on the screen shots... is that the one two tiles to the right of our scout on that second screen shot above? It looks as though it's not within our borders- are we able to grab resources from outside our borders? I never tried that!

                              just in case...
