Having problems connecting to this game. Have tried about 10 times now - all have timed out. Having similar issues with Test of Time - but can log into my 3 other pitboss games on the first try. Go figure.

Easy answer. Router differences. What sort of router are you using? (Assuming it's router firewall, though the same thing applies for soft-walls.) Krill and I could never play a game together both running netgear routers, but one of us changing to linksys fixed the problem. (Netgear routers don't seem to implement some of the aspects of NAT translation properly. Not sure why.) Routers are suck. You have a better chance of finding the holy grail then configuring a router to be headache free.
I use the poison tree frog method of keeping people out of my PC.... I keep it so ridden with viruses that any computer comming in contact with it stumbles for about 20 feet then drops dead.

snoop and pinchak - thanks for the feedback. I can only assume that is the issue, as there does not seem to be a consistency in the 'effect' when I change the 'cause' variables. When in doubt - blame the little black box.

I am going in about an hour on vacation for the week, back sunday night. I couldn't find a Gamespy-willing replacement; Geomodder is doing my non-gamespy games (directIP), so if you want to try and get him on board with this PM him the directIP address (you can connect via directIP even when running a gamespy game).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Need some help with the civstats uploader for another game - Bohemian Epic.
Gamespy went dwon last night. Got the game back up no problem. But when I try to reconnect the civstats, I run into issues. To start with - I used the 'default' ID to connect originally. When I go back in to reload - it says that ID is already in use - and I can see no way of getting around it.
So I create another log in - and now every time I try to to access civstats, it signs me in under that ID, and since it is not connected to the game ID and password - I cannot get through to the uploader.
