I have been here long enough to be aware of all those things sir ... but I have probably 400 subscribed threads, so it's unlikely that would help me much; and I already open my firefox with 12 tabs, so bookmarking doesn't help. This thread isn't one that needs regular access, as this is PTBS not PBEM; but it's occasionally useful to find. Thus, it's useful to keep it on the top.
The reason the Tracker subforum exists, as I know because I lobbied for it back in the day, is specifically for the reason of keeping this forum relatively empty and not burying threads below the mounds of PBEM trackers, that in the Civ3 days would subsume any start-game threads or other non-tracker threads. Putting this thread in the tracker forum would pretty much negate that purpose.
This thread (and the other PTBS threads) aren't used as a tracker thread, thus it isn't bumped nearly as often, and doesn't threaten other threads with being consigned to the third page after half a day If there were many of them, and if they were bumped on a daily basis as PBEM threads are, then I'd agree with you ... but for now, they aren't, and they'd just get buried in the PBEM tracker subforum just like any other thread would.

BTW, it looks like the game went down sometime around two hours ago (the uploader timed out at 10:02, GMT-6, two hours ago) ... this leaves the game at about 3 hours left, give or take. If it's started in the time frame of 2amCST-6amCST I certainly will get skipped...

This thread has 294 posts already and is only 5 weeks old! If this was under the "Civ4-PBEM Trackers" forum it would be on top all the time, take my word on it!
Anyway, I am getting a little bitter, sorry about that. It is just that I am getting the feeling that more threads will follow. And how about consistency? I see a PitBoss game under the "Civ4-Multiplaying" forum as well

Indeed, this is probably more of a talk thread than a turn tracker thread, except when Wittlich butts in with his blase topical post ...
Like I said, if PTBS 'trackers' cause the same problem as PBEM ones, i'd be all for it, but I don't think that'll be the case. There are two PTBS games i'm in that are in this forum, and the other one has a lot of posts only because of sporadic troubles it's had - when it's running smoothly it goes weeks without a post
