It seems we are against any barbs that is a vote for no barbs but I'll wait for a while for views before posting at CFC.

      Game settings:

I am all for difficulty: as high as possible: so EMPEROR
      AND for Raging Barbs.

All settings which make the game more fluid, less predictable and more complex are in my opinion in our advantage.

With raging barbs the strategy of making one, two or three strong core cities (depending on the map) with high tech and good defense, and then go for rapid expansion (REX) will be a strong one.

Why not? Raging works for me.

Still our majority view is no barbs. I am going to post that view at CFC.

However as I am not team captain or official spokesperson I can not post our final full views on settings in the official CFC 'Final settings' thread.

From our perpsective we have two outstanding issues: Victory options Domination only? and a view about modifying ingame rules if absolute majority of remaining teams agree and then to refer to the game admin. Perhaps this can be discussed later.

Just for completeness would our team captain or 'official' spokesperson post our Apolyton 'final settings' in the CFC thread set aside for that purpose.

For reference, what we have already posted in the BTS MTDG planning thread was at post 307 (OzzyKP) and post 407 (CAL) and then update Emperor for difficulty and Barbs off.

Ozzy could you make the post?

PS. Hercules I see you posted that the Apolyton view is barbs off: well if I look into this thread I think that is hardly our joint opinion.

I guess we are closer to raging

When I posted our views I noted MZ barbs off, though not discussed it was in line with our general random events off line. Also I looked at posts 24 and 26, where it was agreed to indicate barbs on but only to drop when Corps included. You and OzzyKP changed your vote, but at that stage it was 3 v 2 Off, then Dinner and Ben posted after I had posted on CFC.

                          No problem

The team captains: Ozzy and RP may decide on any issues in which the group didn't make any clear choices, ok?

Fine with me but they will need to be quick because Plako is well advanced with the map and settings

I say all victory options open. MP players like to only have domination so they can be little Hitlers trying to conquer the world but let's keep it interesting and go for everything.

I got this message from Sommer:

                                ACS votes
                                Hey Ozzy,

I notice that in the voting for the BTS MTDG III, Poly's vote is being counted as: "Spies - ON civic/religion swap banned" Now IIRC, you posted that ACS's PREFERENCE was spies fully on with no nerfing/banning, but you could live with the banning if you had to. Is that still the team preference? Because I think that most teams would actually prefer this (spies on fully) and were just caving early on because it seemed like RB wouldn't play otherwise and we needed the players.

But now I think RB is onboard regardless because this this thing has gotten so big, so its not necessary to nerf espy to placate one team anymore. Plus it is really starting to look like the Spanish Mod is going to get voted down too (as well as nukes), which is such a shame because of how hard Manolo is trying to address all the issues.

So my point here is... Do you think that ACS preference is truly to have espionage ON fully? If so, could you guys clarify that by posting your desired settings here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=463122 . (Actually I would really like you to post your setting here regardless of what they are, just so we have all the desired settings in full, in one place.)

I am thinking that best case scenario, we may be able to broker in the Spanish Mod in exchange for espionage (as in RB agrees to vote in favor of the Spanish Mod in exchange for Poly voting against full espionage). Worse case scenario, we get full espionage at least. What do you think?

Obviously I am biased, because I really want spies to be fully allowed, and IMO, one team (RB) has sort of twisted everyone's arm into nerfing spies for no reason. However, I am fully aware that my opinion does not have any effect on your team's vote. I just wanted to ask if you could clarify what your team's preference is, one or the other.

Thanks so much for playing, and thanks for all your help, (and don't hesitate to tell me if I am treating this too much like a Diplogame... with backroom deals and such),
