    SUPERMAJORITIES REMOVED

Not worth arguing further over them I guess.

Come on, Dinner, READ the rules before you start posting this stuff. I explained clearly a few times that points aren't cumulative and that you only have the points of your highest position, not all of your positions...

In any event there simply is no need what so ever to have anyone with a weight or to have anything other than a simple majority. I don't know why you're so dead set on such inequality in the game but it is absolutely completely unneeded in such a small group. You're literally the only one pushing for it so the question is why?
I am for the rules as well. DNK has been open to compromise and has adjusted things to find an accommodation, but you haven't budged. He just dropped the 2/3rds majority to call a vote, can we have peace and move on now?

Is there any dissension now? I move that we adopt this unanimously at game start unless anyone comes here beforehand to take issue with another facet of my proposed organization.

Also, I move that we adopt this provision: no one on this forum may ever use "hat" to refer to anything other than its literal meaning. No department heads are to be issued "hats" for their departments, nor turnplayers for their turnplaying roles, nor team captains for their captain roles, nor does anyone own or potentially wear a hat for any other reason than:
            1. fashion
            2. keeping the sun off their heads or faces
            3. warmth
            4. staying dry in rain/snow

I wonder if DNK (or OzzyPK) as head of intelligence gathering would open a thread that would have civstats and pyt in the first post so that we can quickly see game progress.

                  Thanks.

Yeah, sorry I've been not doing much here, but this month is a busy one and I don't have as much free time as usual to get so involved. Sorry if this lack of info hurts our opening a bit.

Hello again. I am catching up on reading and other fun.

A few things. Firstly, I am in total agreement with what Dinner said about the turn player explaining why certain minor choices are made. I am a decent player, but I often see the "dark magic" result in some truly spectacular results and I, and I suspect others, would be very interested in learning such depth and nuances. If you guys have the patience for it I would appreciate it a lot.

Second, so far I have seen 9 active posters in the threads according to memory they are:
                      Ozzy (captain)
                      Robert (diplomat)
                      mzprox (turnplayer)
                      Calanthian (turnplayer)
                      DNK (intelligence)
                      Hercules
                      Dinner
                      Ben Kenobi
                      +Lzrpst (army/historian)

According to the first page in this thread we have given out positions to 5, but there are still a few available slots. Though I suppose there is no rush, maybe we could fill in the vacancies in the near future. Personally I am torn between asking for the army or the historian. I am capable on the former, and some would say I am skilled at the latter. Though I feel everyone should be allowed to participate in the story development, several people bouncing ideas off each other and elaborating on other's stories is a great way to write stories with depth and fun twists. In my opinion we need an editor who decides how stories can be fit together, who guides the story and lets everyone contribute.

Finally, I would like to know if people would like to give themselves and ingame name/title/appellative. Should we be ingame characters swirling around Elizabeth's court? Should we be younger brothers/children/independent nobles/various aides? I think we would have a lot more food for storywriting if we drag part of what goes on in our strategic discussions into our stories. Do people have specific desires?

Pleased to see you here LzPrst. I think you can make a good contribution and I like the idea of an editor to link stories together.

The idea of the Liz court is interesting but perhaps would be novel to combine Elizabethan court arrangements with the Ottoman court plus early mythology.

                          This sounds like a challenge

I am curious what character you would devise for all of us

Question: When can the turnplayer conduct a move?

                              Proposal:

                              * If it is a move without serious consequences: 4 votes is enough.

(or there is less than 2 hrs on the clock, or we are the last team to move)

                              * Other moves which could lead to units dying, or cities being built, or other things with long term consequences:
                              a clear majority is needed.

(if there is less than 2 hrs on the clock: we make the move for which most have voted)
(if we are the last team: we give our team members time to vote, until there is max 2 hrs on the clock)

As soon as I'm needed as our civs diplomat I'd like it to to roleplay someone.
Shall I just suggest here who I am so that you can agree/disagree? (everytime).
