Guys if the Vikings people wish for their ancient ruler to return I will load up the game tomorrow which I did delay 5 months ago I would finish what I started here.

If you feel like taking it over then please do. It sounds like many of the others want to continue. I feel bad for quitting, but I just don't think diplo is my type of game.

However just know that much of my strength is currently owned by Neandor. I can give you a rundown of what we've been up to.

If you want to take over Neandor too I can give you the password for it, once I find it again. As for France, he will be back on the 19th. Not sure if he will want to continue or not, but you'd have to play for him until he does come back.

Ottoman: you have a good point, but in my opinion it is detrimental to the game that playing as an independent is the same as playing as fodder. I have always felt that there is a certain "gentleman's agreement" to play fairly and treat weaker civs if not with kindness, then at least not with a heavy hand. I could easily tie myself to an alliance for most of the game, but I honestly do not see much fun in that. We are playing Civilizations, not alliances


Also, what Vikings said in his long post. that is how the game seemed to rest of us, 9-10 civs allied, with 3-4 of the top civs as leaders. Nothing showed any sign of this not being the case. Even if the rest of the world had allied against you you would still be dominant.

Actually I tried to start a game a bit ago where things shuffled even more. Every 50-100 turns everyone would switch civs. This would not only shuffle up the alliance system it'd give everyone a chance to see the game from different perspectives, get less emotionally attached to their civ, and allow the very different skill levels in the game balance each other out.

Oh, my ... I was thinking I am going nut when I though that if the game is about to fall apart, it can be life-saving belt to random switch the civs between the players. This is what I meant in my earlier post today -

Come on, guys, lets finish this game.

But if I have to part with my suffered-each-single-tile Rus, I dont know will I be able to bear this. Just now I understand how much I am attached to the nation I created...

If the Axis is going to be at full power, shall we still sign 30 turns universal NAP? I can propose contrary to the Turks, that we continue the war against China AI to finish it off and give those cities to the respective new owners.

I also want to propose that the Azteca is turned to AI and his fate decided from who get at its last city first, while the Azteca player takes the Neandors if none of the Vikings want to take the responsibility to be the main stake of the Axis.

Ugh.. I really dont know - I feel the game as not decided yet in the current configuration and I would like to see how it develops. Seems we have most of the civs equipped with players and ready to go. We miss only Neandor player actually. So thats why I am proposing you to get it.

Yes step in. Just because Russia won doesn't mean Japan was done climbing the latter. This is the first diplo game I've played that I have not been dead last and I would hate for it to end before I got a chance to break into the top 5.
