Ok, i understand now, Germany made a defensive pact and expected that anyone who would attack the vikings would face him too, so no point gifting units. This circumwented by England declaring war first.
It is a game mechanics issue that defensive pacts are dissolved after one trigger. Even I did not know that.
It's a bit dirty trick, but I think the real problem here is why the second top player is played by the top one, while the third one also their allies (+ we know half of the players are actually subbed by that third one )

England is temp-subbed by it's ally Russia and is acting on the exact instructions of doing whatever it takes to destroy the Axis fleet, which can challenge the English fleet and bring back the dark times when 3 nations invaded and seized all of the Britannia.
Quote from the game rules:
05. Subbing
a. Subs will always put '(sub)' behind their name when they login to the game. (ie. 'Emperor Augustus (sub)')
b. tmp subbing for allies is allowed.

Hahahah... ridiculous you say.
Ridiculous is putting so many ill feelings in a game, which is about fun and quitting when the things are not going to your taste. Is this how you feel about sportsmanship?
And what you, India are complaining about? What wrong happened to you this time? It is OK when the world overlooks that you quatro-move China and RAZE 4 of their best cities, then the whole world comes to fight a war to save you from the AI. Then your territory is about to be doubled and bring you back in the game, but you quit on the news that the poor Axis have lost 15 precious destroyers?
This is ridiculous.

as the former Indian player I just want to say the following: this game has been a complete and utter travesty, and the main reason for that is Russia's unsportsmanlike behaviour. you have continously used your position to create a deadlock in this game in which the major players routinely team up against and mess up the weaker players in a number of ways.
I have a lot of criticism towards a lot of players, but the game is NOT FUN for the majority of players and that is because of Russia's manipulation of half the civs to serve them like puppets and them letting it happen.
The ganging up of several large nations against one minor civ has been endemic in this game and the level of sportsmanship has simply been at an all time low for any diplogame I have been in and now the major civs that have been permanently ganged up on others are surprised that the rest of us are fed up? get a clue.Diplogamer formerly known as LzPrst

And what was my position? Who put me in it?
And what is your position? Who put you there? Yes, it is Russia who is guilty for everything.
As it was Russia who ganged up with other nation to attack France in 2vs1 in the ancient time, taking HALF their cities, resulting in a player to quit the game early on.
Then as it was Russia who lied and threaten to his former ally so he was looking desperately for protection.
Then as it was Russia who allied with the most advanced military nation - the Vikings and then with France to attack England.
Then as it was Russia who made India make alliance with Neandor, while the Neandors were at the peak of their power.
Then as it was Russia who supplied Japan with ships to attack England in the Pacific, making the war against England a 4 or 5 vs 1.
Then as it was Russia who made India dishonor and break the NAP INDIA PROPOSED to Russia.
Then as it was Russia who still remained inclined to the Axis, no matter that they have left and deserted India.
None of those was Russia's faults. You may not know, but it was me who stopped China from intervenuing when you got the rifles from Vikings and refused to give them back. And still you blame me for everything in this game. Got a clue.Last edited by Russia (DoE); October 13, 2011, 09:19.

as for Russia: Nothing happened to me, but you don't seem to understand that a diplogame is about more than 1 civ. A game like this depends on the enjoyment of the players, and frankly, I don't care if my civ is doing well if the game has already been decided, which it has. There is a fundamental point in the diplo code and that is that it should be fun for all players, but the situation you and other great powers created made that practically impossible.
As for your accusation, I did not quatro move, that is not even possible, China did not play their turns, does that mean they are immune to attack? I moved my fleet into position, waited for China to take its turn, when it didn't I attacked. Fair and square so take your accusations and stuff them. As for the "fairness" of razing their 4 best cities, China was still after that a bigger and stronger empire than many civs, so I don't see how that is unfair in any way. If it is unfair for them to be reduced, how is it no unfair to smash a smaller civ into an even smaller one, something you have participated in numerous times in this game.
I am not quitting because the axis lost destroyers, I am quitting because you and other players are routinely abusing game mechanics to your advantage, and been creating a diplomatic deadlock which has in effect ENDED THE GAME. YOU HAVE WON, THE GAME IS OVER!!! why is that so hard to accept? There is no point to playing out the last few turns when you are already victorious. This latest attack caused the 1 player in the game that has been a challenge to you to leave because he considered this ridiculous abuse of pacts and such to be unsportsmanlike behaviour. You just ended the game by abusing game mechanics. Congratu****inlations.Diplogamer formerly known as LzPrst

But thats OK. Just like in the real life we tend to always say: "The good old times" - those are not always "good" for real, we just tend to forget how poor we felt back in the time and we think that now it is the end of the world.
After each diplo-game there are people who declare it the worst of all time, the most unfair and so. So this is no exceptional case. Too bad you guys quit before the end of the game.

OK, Lz, I never said anything bad about you quatro- or pentro-moved the Chinese. I still did not said anything when you razed their cities - I even supported you in this - already forgot about it? No matter it was harsh and against the rules, I considered it fair.
I do understand pretty well that the game should be fun for everyone and thats why I actually congratulated you, instead of whine how unfair to China this was. I congratulated Israel too when they backstabed and destroyed our army. Now we get to my main point - if someone cant enjoy a game, while losing, this is all his fault he is playing.

Which civs I did smashed?
lets see which civs I did fought and what I did to them:
- Mongolia.
Declared war to them as I was gave my word to China. I attacked Mongolia and captured few workers in the woods. At the second turn I sent a peace proposal to Mongolia. No one replied to me. Then I sent second cease-fire offer. No answer. Then to show some serious intentions, I move near their capitol. They attack my stack and kill ALL but 1 unit. My cities in Asia are open for attack, so I use 2 of my chariots, attack and capture a Mongolian city. I keep the window asking me to raze or capture about 10 hours and sent few PMs to Mongolia asking we to make peace in exchange for sparing the city. No one replies, the end of the turn is near and I raze the city. Then we make peace with Mongolia and I allow them to rebuild the city. So far, I did killed 6 Mongolian citizens. Not like smashing a nation, right? Apparently, the Mongol decision to keep fighting against China in the next few centuries puts them in the dark ages, while all other move forward.
- Neandor, France and Vikings
They attack England with the EXACT knowledge I have defensive agreement with them. I declare war and call so many times for peace. The war escalates and I find myself in the position to drafting/slaving down to 5 all my cities, halving my GNP, taking HUGE money loans and finally we all - Russia, England and Ottomans manage to overwhelm the more advanced and military powerful Neandor, Vikings and France. And what terms I put on them? What I ask for sparing them? I ask most of the English and Ottoman cities to be returned and modest reparations in money to be paid to them two.
What I ask for myself? Fuсk yeah - NOTHING
Not a single tile of land, not a single rubla. As a result, the Axis are decades ago forgot they lost the war and payed reparations, while Russia still repays loans and normally falls behind in tech.
- Aztecs
I ask, even BEG Vikings and Azteca (they can confirm) for the city to be returned and not starved only to get Oil - to me THIS is game mechanics manipulation - to gift a mature city on the other side of the world to get access to Oil. I had warned the Azteca few times and at the end I put 8 infantries and 3 cossacks on 4 galleons and sail the Pacific, capture 2 weakly defended cities and ask the Vikings to return the city. They react at once and offer the city back to Azteca, but Azteca instead of taking back this city, gives away ALL other his cities and quits. After seeing this, I just gave back the cities to Azteca, but he is too guilt to his allies that he lost ALL the 40-50 ships they gifted him and dont want to play the game anymore.
Those are the wars Russia participated. Razed 1 and captured 3 cities in 3 wars. And yet, Russia is to be blamed for everything bad in this game.
Get a clue.
Excuse me - I forgot the Israelian war - there I captured their capitol too, after BEGGING them to pay some money and forget about it - I needed them out of the war and I needed some money for upgrading Ottomans soldiers to Rifles.
So that makes for razed 1 and captured 4 cities in 4 wars.Last edited by Russia (DoE); October 13, 2011, 10:00.

Double-moving is abusing game mechanics. Leaving 15 destroyers without proper defense is just weak play Dont blame me for playing the game. I blame you all who quit.
Calling a game decided is one thing, rage-quitting for losing 15 units is completely different. It is not fair to accuse me of "abusing game mechanics" when you just lose hope and joy in the game because of the course of the game. And it is supposed to be a game, where the actual win does not matter.

I can blame many here.. the one who quits becasue of losing interest, the one who quits because thinks the game is decided before it really is, the one who is just too passive, the one who makes or accepts unbalanced alliances, the one who abuses his powers to take the fun from the weaker.. and probably many more
You really should not be so harsh on Russia, if the game sucks then there are always more than one behind it. The trick is that all of us should actively work on to make the game fun-even if that means that we do "illogical" things in character, just for ooc reasons.
