Sorry, just sent the peace terms. Basically what is going to happen anyway as you pointed out. And 3rd world? You are ahead of me in rank! With more tech IIRC!
Stay tuned for some shocking Irina news!
More tech? Well, depends on what kind of tech... I can produce musketmen at most and have only recently built a few national wonders and started putting up my tech sliders to catch up with things like music and such To get to the level of military tech you have, I would need another 50-80 turns And with regards to the peace terms;
In game I responded that it is impossible, blabla, America this and that, cease to exist, etc. etc. In truth, you will completely crush America, and we will never recover if your demands are met. You will literally take away all our production capabilities. The other players in America who can see the map can vouch for the fact that I have no other noteworthy cities. Once you take those, it'll be the permanent stone age, because there is no fertile soil anywhere else. So keep that in mind. On the bright side, it'll give me the opportunity to write about the oppressed people of the USA, the hardships, the pain, with no light at the end of the tunnel, etc. Lots of opportunities for storytelling

there is a "measured war" rule that forbids such conquests as the Turks have suggested in the Americas.
I am losing more than half my country in two days, as the only four cities that are worth anything will be gone next turn, so that is fairly hardcore. But I could live with that, since it greatly increases the opportunity for storytelling. However, it does mean that as an in game civ, America will no longer have much to do, as the other cities are in barren lands, so no growth or production until a much later stage in the game, when everybody else is already miles ahead. The problem is that America was already far behind to start with, as Ozzy explained earlier, because of some mistakes with map planning.
But hey, I'll roll with whatever happens. If the Ottoman Empire feels this fits in their storyline, then I'm not going to complain. I'll just come up with some more weepy speeches
Damn Turkais!

I would agree with this. If the Ottomans try to take all of America's productive cities and leaves them with a scattered bunch of tundra towns in Canada I will invoke the rule.
The natives are putting up a fight though, so maybe it'll work itself out naturally.

@Ottoman empire: I will be home later tonight, I will be playing my turn about 10 hours from now (midnight, Paris time zone).
No prob USA.
Just a point of order... Aztec logged in and moved after me last turn and then DoW and moved before me this turn. Am I supposed to get a reload for that? I have not logged in yet to see the damages yet so maybe its not a big deal, but certainly I would not want Aztec logging in AFTER me and then Before me to DoW. Isn't that how it works just to be sure about moves?
Anyway it probably doesent matter since I offered favorable Peace to USA so probably war will be over soon.

I did not double move.
I checked in to see what had happened (as I saw a points drop of America).
Furthermore the DoW was in this turn (so technically it couldn't even have been a double move).
AND I played in the same order as previous turn: Aztec - USA - Ottoman.
Following the conquest of Miami our troops quickly discovered that a fleet of 6 galleons was docked in the harbor.
As the harbor entrance was blocked by our entire fleet, and the city was also firmly in our hands, these ships had nowhere to go.
The Ottoman sailors quickly realized this and surrendered after setting their ships on fire.
I did not know that if a harbour is captured the enemy ships disappear (or was it that because they hadn't a friendly square to escape to in range?)
(or did the ships reappear somewhere else??)
