About your declaration of war,now when it is clear you want to continue fighting and are not content with the Ottomans and USA signed peace, If it was me, I would just acknowledge it and act as if I was in war (declaring the war myself so I can attack/enter enemy territory, etc), but I can testify that there was such precedent very recently, where the Ottomans said that they are declaring a war and want the first play order in the next turn if their ultimatum is rejected. Then the other party rejected the ultimatum and yet logged in and played first in the turn, thus denying the Ottomans his claimed first move.

I call for a sensible a compromising acting.

At the risk seems petty, can I ask when will unpaused game because even though I have such great things to do such as wars, I want finally to base a city that waited three days may seem trifle someone but I think that this pause and continue a little longer recharge. Regards.

OK I am awake now. As for the non DoW of Aztecs, I think what is going on is they are trying to ride the fence, basically avoiding War-weariness, but claiming first move. I logged in but I was stuck in diplo screen so I couldn't act or see anything. So since I still have not acted I noticed Aztecs were online and posted that I would give up any rights to complain about a Doublemove if they would unpause and either DoW or not DoW. So there was no danger of me calling a Doublemove.

What I think is going on is Aztec would want to do additional moves if he DoWs, but not if there is no DoW. So he is not wanting to DoW if he can't also do the moves. I think he also has troops he wants to position before DoW, but he wants to keep first position in turn order to optimize his attack possibilities. If his non DoW is treated as a non DoW and I move into first position it will ruin his attack plans.

I guess what I will do rather than ask for another reload to force Aztec to properly DoW instead of this fence-riding... or ask for a host ruling on whether Aztec can "call first move" now is just swallow the crappy situation and play my turn to just be a chivalrous good sport.

So can somebody unpause for me?. I will accept the Aztec non DoW tricks as a DoW to keep the game moving and avoid another reload.

I am glad you finally decide to play and end your turn. I try to fight a straight 'in game' war without all the rules hassle.
But I also like to be not tricked out of first move next turn.

There can be absolutely nothing wrong from a fair gaming perspective with just consecutive 'you play - I play' turns.
That is all I like to see happening.

I think he went off and no one unpaused for him, so he still have to play his turn and we to wait another 10 hours, but I am glad you two finally come to agreement for the DoW and the turn order

OK I have been waiting for about an hour. Russia and Aztec are both online now, but I guess both are AFK. I told Aztec he could log in and unpause and DoW and I would not call this a doublemove or anything else like that... but I guess he might just be scared to believe this or maybe just being a teensy little bit melodramatic

Plus even if Aztec did log in and DoW and unpause, I would STILL have to log in and play AFTER him so there would be no way for me to claim first position anyway, because I would be the one who moved last.

That's the irony of all this If Aztec just unpauses the game for me and DoWs as he should under the rules then I would have NO WAY of taking back first position because I MUST play after he unpauses, I cant play before he unpauses because the game is PAUSED.

The only way I could claim first position is if he refuses to login and unpause the game and sticks with this "I called it" nonsense. Then I could easily wait for somebody else to unpause, play my turn, wait for the trun to roll, and then play again and claim first position. Of course Aztec would claim I doublemoved and we would pause for a host ruling, but host would most likely find in my favor because the rules do not allow the type of spot calling Aztec is trying... Ah well

EDIT: Since Im just sitting here waiting I had another thought. Why can Aztec player call first move in ORG thread without an in-game DoW and expect that to be respected by me, but I can not get any respect from him on my ORG thread offer to not call a turn order violation in order to let him unpause and DoW as he is supposed to?

Is it because I am a good sport and Aztec is not?
