I am sorry but this is not a map for 8 players it is duel size.

I realise it is succession but when you have to build your capitol with overlap from another's, without expansion, it makes it really not a game for me.

Please get a Sub, I will play the turns until then, but I am not fond of heavy cramping at the best of times and on a European map you have no way out.

At least Heraclitus can join now regardless of the previous Subbing of Black Knight.

Couldn't the map be redone and made slightly bigger? Not like game is in its late stages yet and we don't even have anon logins yet.

There is enough land. Sure you won't be able to expand to 30 cities peacefully like in other games. The only capitols overlapping should be London & Paris and... honestly they are pretty close to each other. Whatever size map you go with they are going to be close.

I've told Ozzy by PM that it's a lot of work to register new accounts all by myself. So I suggested that every player just registers an account himself, and names it: Civname (NH) ie.: Spain (NH)

Please all stick to the format.
Then when all done, please PM me 1 msg with all account names, and I'll turn them into civ4 diplo accounts.

Ok folks, we are heading in for our first switch. To make life easier on all of us we are just going to do a civ switch every month. So on Saturday we'll all have new civs. CS is handling who is switching to who and will notify all of us then.

The end of the month also means we are going to be voting. Now obviously it is very early in the game and not much has happened and not much has been posted, so it may be difficult to spread points around, but check out the details about voting at the top of this thread. Also, doesn't hurt to get some posts in in the next day or two.

Even though we are switching civs we have decided to be anonymous in this game, so that still means no giving away your identity in the forum. Please send a PM to CS directly if you have something to say about the civ switch.

I think it is silly to be switching this early. No one has had a chance to do much of anything besides post their initial story and make at most a couple warriors. I would be more willing to switch after the end of May, when we have about 50 turns in, not now.

I'd be happy to carry on as the glorious chocolate clock makers of paradise canton until the end of June - I can see the sense in that. But we would have to be clear we are then going to keep swapping every month since that is the feature we are trying to experiement with. But we haven't even had a full month, had slow turns at the beginning, and it does take a long time to get that first city going anywhere.

Ok, I'll notify CS to delay the first switch till the end of May. Should we delay our first vote too? At the end of May vote for all of May & April?

Also, do people want to speed the turns up a bit?

Yes, vote when we switch is a good idea. Also, a slightly shorter turn timer for a little wouldn't be a bad idea. Say 12 hours instead of 18?
