Don't worry Egypt. Rome's anger is not at Egypt. Byzantium is our enemie. That is why we move our army to the west, not to you. Do not worry.
Yeah, I know that..bloody, bloody war between you and Byzantium..
Btw the signs are especially bad for me.. RNG hates me..
Decided to make a nice trap for your chariot which came to pillage. My workers were at position as well as a maceman. I made a road my maceman could attack your unsuspecting chariot, 95% chance for me.. Bang..
My maceman dies... my 3 workers are about to get captured..I cant send the garrison from my northern city to the south to join the main army, and I sent an other unit to kill your chariot when you take my workers..
So I lost a unit, possibly 3 workers, and two less units will participate in our big battle..
Yeah, I know that..bloody, bloody war between you and Byzantium..
Oooops, I have been confused! Byzantium is on my east border, YOU are on my west border! Stupid me, declaring war on the wrong civilization.
Oh yes, that spare chariot I had. I just decided to send it into your land to cause some odd fun. And hey, it worked! I see that you enjoy drafting your entire empire into peaces a lot. Good for you.
I figured that with my army I could also invade and capture all of my other neighbours. But I feared that Rasputin would whine about that. But now the civs 1, 2 and 3 are at war, Rasputin is nowhere to cheer!
You probably realize by now that when you stole the paper tech from me I got a full view on your empire. I knew exactly how much You and Byz are killing each other. (not at all )
About drafting/slaving.. I would had liked to mine and chop trees but my land is all desert.. Most of my cities have 10+ unhappiness from slaving/drafting
On the other hand you had stopped researching for the last 15? turns.. so we both sacrificed a LOT.
For those who have no scout/spies on my land: Rome is attacking with 50+ units (macemen, crossbowmen and 20 catapults)
I have much less units, though I have musketmen too (9 str compared to the maceman's 8.. huge improvement )
The funny thing is, 25 turns ago I asked Byzantium to declare war on me, just to deceive you. But he didn't want to, and wanted to stay out of it. I knew that you had full sight (and kept that in mind all the time).
So I had to do something. And just declared war on Byzantium. Of course never with the intention to invade him, only hoping to confuse you. Imagine, I only declared war on the #3 civ to confuse the (back then) #2 civ. I believe that I deserve some credits for being brave
Yes, your land is very..... different.
It gives you a huge scientific/gold advantage, but production is bad. It's good for drafting/slaving on the other hand. This is an interesting war. Unfortunately I lost the first attempt. But if we let you go unchallenged, then you discover rocketery when we are only enjoing the wisdom of the printing press.
We both sacrificed a lot. Slaving, and indeed putting my entire economy on stop for 25 turns or something. I love it. I'm looking forward to the war.
To Sumeria: is it good when you are 'aghast', or bad?
Even though I am top 4 I don't know all there is about the game.
Appreciate the generous tips many players offer.
Before He stole the tech we had even spy points on each other, but after that I had 10 times more so I got full intelligence, I could see almost all of Rome's land and I could inspect every city.
So I knew you are not really at war.. but I didn't wanted you to know that I know.. though Rome should had known that I know..
About pyt diplo.. I hadn't checked my messages for ages (if there are any) Since we have poly accounts now I think we should rather use those.
Have we lost the Celts? They have not played for 13 turns and were missing a lot of turns before that.
They have the number one city in the game so it would be very dangerous if a neighbour were to move in and attack a leaderless nation with such a prize to be gained. Could a sub, IG or OOG, be appointed just for their own good?
I hadn't noticed this, but presuming those figures are true i think we should do something. Its very distorting to have significant neighbours who can't be active allies or enemies.
