New type of diplo game

Rome was betrayed once again by the odds.
This spy action had an 86% chance of success (to destroy a road), but failed.

After that my general (not me!) was stupid enough to continue anyway, giving the Egyptians a chance to use the road to attack my army.

This happened about 3 turns ago. Just reporting for those who are interested.

Sounds about right.. after me losing 2 workers and a maceman at 5% chance

Destroying that road with a spy would had been a great move. If you also attack those troops standing there then probably you could had taken my northest city (temporary) and I don't think you could had advanced further.

In civ defenders have the chance striking first and it's a big advantage.

Well the new turn has started, but playyourturn.com shows that most civs have taken their turns already. The site was down earlier, I guess something went wrong with the site.

I tried to start and stop the PYT thing, but no luck.

The timer is correct, and apparently it continues to log all logins/logouts correctly. It only doesn't update some parts.... I can do a reboot...

I restarted the pitboss server and the PYT thing, now the end-turn indicators are correct. The turn-year still isn't though.

If China has not played for so long and no one knows their password (?) then we'll need Cyber to weave his magic...

Yes, even if small civs who have lost their player may be target in this post 1000 world, they definitely need some sort of subbing so the pickings aren't easy. Ozzy's the best but if he can't, then one of the nations on the other side of the world.

Friends how do you feel about decreasing the timer a bit? Say 14 hrs?
