      Persia and the Britannians

      Despite their power
      The Persians had been good
      To the Britannians
      Fair borders were accepted
And even free gifts were given
      To aid the Britannians
The Persians had sent two groups of workers!
      A gift from Guru FarAz
      To Marcus
The first group arrived years ago
The 2nd group was about to enter the land
      Of the Britannians.
      But the Britannians never answered

      Despite Persian's attempt
To help the Britannians against the barbarians
Despite the armies of Persian Axemen
Being sent to the other side of Britannia
      Where they battled many barbarians
      And saved many British children
Despite all these attempts from Persia to help their neighbours
The Britannians never answered to Guru FarAz' letters.
      These letters were kind.
Attempts to build a fair alliance.
      Promises of protection
      And help
      In exchange for loyalty
      And tech trade rights.
      No word from Marcus.
Now Guru FarAz' patience was gone.
"Summon the 2nd group of workers to return"
"And let the Axemen return to Persia" he said.
Then he sent another messenger to Britannia.
      Asking for an answer.

Force is always beside the point when subtlety will serve

The Malinese people worked for many years to create a temple worthy of their god. Much marble was brought into Timbuktu for the creation of this grand marvel.

The Great Korta, inspired by his visit to the Djenne to meet with Indian Tao missionaries, began to study the ancient scrolls shared with the missionaries. Although he remained humored with the drawings on the scrolls of a yellow bear named Pooh, he began to understand this new path of enlightenment. In fact, he was so enlightened that he renounced his previous decree and proclaimed all citizens would now worship Sha'Tao.

In honor of this declaration, The great Korta sent word to India to invite them to the new temple constructed in Timbuktu, The Temple of Sha'Tao. It was a sight to behold with massive columns and statues, all made of marble. The Great Korta believed this temple would be known throughout the world and would survive the tests of time as one of the greatest wonders the world had ever seen. He was pleased with what he saw.

            Red Cross people Relations/Foreign Policies:

            West:

Greek – Normal relations and open borders. I am glad to see Peace back in their lands. Open for assistance in rebuilding and further development if needed.

Arabia – Normal relations and open borders. Already Islam has found its way into one of our cities. Looking forward to closer relations.

Rome – Normal relations. Have been told that no replies have been send to our latest letters. Communications need to be improved.

            South:

Big Water – Main Red Cross fishing industry – plan to increase this year’s yield.

            West:

Korzan – Normal relations and open borders. Little to none diplomacy I wonder why. Korzan scouting Red Cross lands – they are welcomed. But a letter of some sort would be even more welcomed from their mainland.

Natives American – Nothing on file. Relations haven’t been established yet. I am told that a diplomatic request was never send to ask and explain why we should open borders with them. The luck of any prior communications forced my brother to decline the request of open borders. I hope that next time we are approached with a more proper diplomacy.

Barbarians – They come without warning and destroy all that is build. Solution kill them all.

Inca – Good relations. My brother signed a mutual protection treaty which I will continue to respect and honor if called on. Goal improve communication send a Red Cross ambassador to their lands.

Egypt – Little contact – Plan on building closer relations.

            North:

Byzantine – Local legends has it that my people and these Byzantine come from the same beginning. Statues: Solid/Good relations and open borders. I welcome their religion into my lands. Red Cross religion policy is tolerance to all world religion, so all are welcomed into our lands. Goal establish trade and even closer relations.
The Western Governor heard of the report of Candit and spluttered his drink out in amazement.
            ,
"These Red Cross people have ignored our letters to them for centuries it is documented
in the naval memorial hall of our expeditions to their countries and how we called for contact.

Well i must visit Candit personally.

The governor called for his Horse drawn carriages to take him to the Red cross palace.

Pharaoh Meni calls upon his people from the Heavens

The Egyptian people woke up, and people everywhere said their morning prayers to Ra, so that he may shine his light forevermore on Mighty Egypt. But then, suddenly, a black shape started to slowly cover Ra. The shape grew. Birds stopped singing, the wind died down, and it became colder. People flocked onto the streets, pointing up in the air. The sun was disappearing. Ra was angry. Some cried out in horror, and ran to the temple of Ra, beseeching the priests, begging them for an explanation, asking what they should do. As they tried to tell the crowds that Ra was always in need of more money to make his temple even bigger and better, the sun disappeared completely, and all that was left was a black disc, with white fire around the edges.

People threw themselves to the ground, wailing, calling out for Ra to come back. Then, a buzzing noise. Growing louder and louder. A cloud in the distance. All of a sudden they were everywhere. Locusts, millions upon millions. And then, flies, everywhere.

And from The Nile, millions of frogs emerged, crawling into houses, jumping up against people. Pretty soon, the streets were filled with screaming people, running for shelter, while thunder and lightning came from a nearly cloudless sky.

Impostep, priest of Ra, closed the door to his personal quarters. He walked up to his altar, and kneeled.
“Mighty Ra, tell us what to do. Please, tell us what to do.”
And then, a vision. A well-fed, hairy man in robes, approached him, with hand risen. He spoke.
                “Pay.”
The vision blurred, and refocused. And he saw Pharaoh Meni. Pharaoh Meni approached Impostep. Meni spoke.
“Rally the priests of all the gods. Pray for one day and one night. Drench the altars of every god in blood.”
Impostep stood up and immediately went to work.

                  The fall of Hastog

Impostep worked hard, praying and sacrificing as much as they could for one day and one night. The altar was bloodstained. So were the altars of the other gods. He hoped it was enough.

                  -----------------------------

Meni looked up at the hairy, well-fed figure, standing in the gate.
“I will not pay. You fat pig. You will feel the vengeance of the Egyptian gods. The time has now come that YOU will pay.”
From behind Hastog, a gurgling sound came. It grew ever louder. Hastog, his ears covered in filthy hair, took a while to notice as he stood grinning down upon Meni with his outstretched hand. But then, he did notice the sound as it grew really loud. He slowly turned around. And there, towering over him, stood mighty Seth, god of Chaos.

He spoke with a booming voice: “Hastog. I have a message from Osiris, god of Death”.
                  Hastog frowned.
Seth grinned, showing his teeth: “PAY!”
Seth swung his staff, hitting Hastog with a mighty swing, sending him flying straight up in the air at a dizzying speed. Meni watched him go, and then, fall, further and further. When he was just a tiny speck, all the way down below, suddenly a huge chasm opened up, with fire spewing out, engulfing Hastog.

Meni sighed. The smell of burning hair wafted up. He stood up, and slowly walked through the gate with Seth.

                  ---------------

All the people gathered near the temple looked up. The locusts were flying away. The sun came back. The birds started singing. The great priest of Ra emerged from the temple, with bloodstained hands.
"I had a vision once more", he cried out to the people. "Meni has ascended to the heavens!!!"
The people fell into each other's arms, praising Ra, and praising Impostep. This day would be forever remembered and celebrated.

                    Song for Hastog

How art thou fallen from heaven,
                    O Lucifer,
                    son of the morning!

how art thou cut down to the ground,
                    which didst weaken the nations!
                    O Lucifer

For thou hast said in thine heart,
                    I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of Meni:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation,
in the sides of the north:

                    I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,
to the sides of the pit.

They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee,
                    and consider thee,
                    saying,
Is this the man that made the earth to tremble,
                    that did shake kingdoms;
That made the world as a wilderness,
                    and destroyed the cities thereof;
that opened not the house of his prisoners?

All the kings of the nations,
                    even all of them,
                    lie in glory,
every one in his own house.
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,
and as the raiment of those that are slain,
                    thrust through with a sword,
                    that go down to the stones of the pit;
as a carcase trodden under feet.

Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial,
because thou hast destroyed thy land,
                    and slain thy people:
the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

                      Support for Hastog

                      While Hastog was falling
                      He was supported
By the Ancient Chiefs of Persia

Astyages (now known as AstyagHastog which became Astyag'Az)
                      Ardanayes (now known as Ardanay'Az)
                      Yestiges (Yestig'Az)
                      Ontisyes (Ontisy'Az)
                      Jerones (Jeron'Az)
                      Alexor (Alexor'Az)

                      and his ancient disciples
                      Kaspar (Kaspar'Az)
                      Malchior (Melchi'Az)
                      Baltazar (Baltaz'Az)
                      Khursheed (Khursh'Az)
                      Jaspar (Jasp'Az)
                      Faarih

They could not stop his fall
                      And followed him
                      Into the pitt
Becoming the Two Deamon Armies of Hastog
                      Two Deamon Armies containing Six

                          Guru Far'Az obeys Hastog

                          While doing the midnight sacrifices
Guru Far'Az felt the ground shaking
                          A shiver hit his heart

"The moment is here" Far'Az said
"Hastog has reached his final destination!
                          Now we must obey him
                          And follow him
And sacrifice all nations to him"

                          Messengers were sent immediately
To the Britannians and the Russians
                          Saying:

                          "Show your devotion to Hastog!
                          We insist
Persia will be good to those who follow Hastog the Fat
But we will summon the Az Demons
                          To those
Who resist the dark power of Hastog"
