With near endless supplies of milk and cheese, Catherine contacted the Arabs who lived in Moscow, who being foreigners had no steak in Russian society and were therefore left out of the Princely infighting. She offered them trading rights and cowmeat to support her and they accepted, increasing her force to 200 men. Taking her troops north to the cornlands, she staged a battle with her uncle Vladislav. He brought 500 men to the battle. Catherine won the battle.
In the pre-state time of Catherine the First, Russians fought mostly skirmishes with Archers and Spears, fighting from a distance. Catherine changed this by telling her Arab troops that if they killed the enemy in hand to hand combat, they would when they died be rewarded as martyrs with many virgins in heaven (she tried offering actual real life women, but the Arabs would have none of it, apparently it would be immoral to fornicate with unmarried women in the earthly life, though no such obstacle existed in the heavenly life).
Dividing her forces in two, a Russian unit taking up the traditional mock battle line for skirmishing, and a hidden Arab unit on the enemy's flank, the overconfident Vladislav rushed Catherine's Russian line. The Arabs then charged out of their hiding places and Vladislavs forces were attacked from front and back. The sight of mad-by-sexual-frustration-driven Arabs fighting in brutal melee combat for the opportunity to have a chance with a girl, even if it was in the afterlife, caused Vladislavs troops to panick. Many fled the scene and others were cut or bludgeoned to moist bits. Making sure her best Archer stayed clear of the battle, Catherine was able to deal Vladislav a painful arrow to the rear, preventing his escape.
Demanding that he swear fealty to her or be given a spear to the other cheek, Catherine gained his troops bringing their number to 600. (100 perished in the battle).
