      • Revolt in Britannia

Growing tension between the remaining Jews of Britannia and the evil Guru Cheney
erupted as Marcus returned to take back what was his. City after city went up in smoke
as Jewish militants rampaged through what was left of Britannia. Guru Cheney call out for
help no one answered. Because of his actions the Britannian army vacated the cities to
watch and see what happened, because of his lust for small children Russia turned its
back to him, and because of his radical beliefs in the fallen one Persia turned it back to
        him.

Scared of his fait Cheney ran to the balcony and dropped to his knees praying for Hastog
to save him, yet nothing. He looked up to the sight of arrows falling from the sky. He
quickly ran inside barely escaping the arrows. His advisors ran in yelling out, "He is here,
he is here!" Outside all that could be heard was the small detachment of guards being
cut down as Marcus's forces made their way closer to the castle doors. With fear in his
heart he grabbed one of his advisors and cried out, "Rabble, rabble save me!"

The advisors picked up Cheney who was curled up in a ball crying out, "save me rabble,
rabble!" They made their way down to the ancient catacombs where it is said the
goddess Britannia lay in rest. They ran and ran until they came to a giant sealed door
way. Each man then took what he could find to try and break the wall. They where able
to make a hole in the wall and quickly got in as the last of them collapsed the wall so
that no one could follow them into the next room.

They looked around and saw they doorway lead them to a cave and on the other side
was a cave opening that lay behind a waterfall. One on the advisors ran towards the
exit, moments after he ran the others lost complete sight of him as he fell to his death.
One of the others quickly lit a torch and moved forward to where the other man had just
fallen; in the middle of the cave was a large pit that split the cave in two. HE then
dropped his torch and was able to clearly see the bottom covered with pointed rocks and
filled with an assortment of animal and human remains.

He looked up to tell the other what he could see; when he did he saw the look of fear on
their faces. Before he could say a word and arrow pierced through his head and he fell
into the pit of death. On the other side of the pit was Marcus, he pulled three arrows out
of his bag, aimed it and took out all of Cheney's advisors in one shot. Cheney was afraid
he tried to run away but as he did Marcus shot more arrows, which pinned Cheney to the
ground. Cheney yelled out, "Rabble mercy rabble mercy!" Marcus replied with an arrow
straight through the black heart of Guru Cheney.

The rebellion was over, Cheney and his men where no more, and Marcus regained his
        nation once more.

          • Catherine's Challenges

As Catherine grew older (mid-thirties was practically aaaaaaancient in those days) there was concern that her lack of children would cause the lands to decline into civil war between the royal princes. Many had already begun to whisper amongst themselves of treaties and alliances against eachother when the day finally came that we would pass away (says alot about Russian life expectancy). Most of Russian Princes desired to rule the entirety of the land, but none had the support of all the people. This concerned Catherine greatly and she meditated and prayed for guidance.

Then an Angel from the Underworld appeared and spoke to her,
Hastog needs you to continue his work on earth, and ensure that his will and spirit is not quenched by the tides of time. As such, he will reach out to you from the land of the dead, but you must reach out to him. There are places in your world that are closer to the other world. These are punctures in existence itself, leaking out to other places. One such place exists near here where the river vegetation grows into what is called the swamp of despair. Here you must go and seek the future of Russia.

-The Swamp of Despair!? I'll never survive!
            cried Catherine.

-Nonsense, answered the Angel, you're only saying that because noone ever has. Once there, you will be aided by a great warrior. Now go.

And then the Angel descended into the ground and returned to the Underworld and was gone. Catherine hesitated, but she knew what she must do. And so she took her chariot and made her way to the Swamp of Despair!

            • The Swamp of Despair

Reaching the edges of the Swamp of Despair, Catherine abandoned her chariot and began walking into the swamp. Uncertain of what to look for, she nonetheless continued determinedly to find the warrior of the swamps and the gate to the underworld. Walking for many days, fighting rats of unusual size, avoiding pits that spewed fire, and pools of quicksand, she at last came to a small clearing in the dark misty swamp, where a humble hobble hovel lay. A small light shone through a window and she made her way to knock upon the door.

While approaching, she heard a giggling sound. Turning slowly she saw a gnome sitting upon a branch in the tree behind her.

-What does she want? it asked.

I am Catherine leader of the Russians and Slavs, I seek a great warrior that resides in these swamps!

-Bah! Always the warrior they seek. Don't you know, wars does not make one great. Knowledge it is that is power!

Can you take me to him?

-Perhaps. Sad I am, that you not seek a gnome.

What could possibly a gnome do for the ruler and High Priestess of Russia?

-Teach you many things, I could. How to cook rat stew for one!! Come to my house there, and we will eat!

              • Christianity

The English populace has been accepting Christianity in an ever increasing pace. Now 2/3 of the English towns have accepted the religon. Currently we have 4 Christian towns, 1 Islamic & 1 still unconverted.

                Comment

                • Reluctant to eat rat, regardless that they in the swamp were closer to big dogs, Catherine agreed to dine with the gnome. Once there she impatiently waited while the gnome prepared the stew, wishing that he would hurry, her Princessdom would not run itself.

-So, tell me, asked the gnome, why do you seek this warrior? You have wars to fight?

No, a messenger from Hastog of the Underworld told me to seek him, to find a gateway between this world and the next.

-Oh! said the gnome, his big ears drooping like a dogs. Yes, I know who you seek. You seek Adoy. Mighty warrior was he. Now he lives in the swamps, guarding the portal. Danger! To seek the portal.

I am not afraid!, retorted Catherine angrily.

-Oh, you will be. You will be. whispered the Gnome.

Enough of your insolence, I must hurry, I have a Princessdom to run, threat of civil and uncivil war, Priestesses to train, decrees to write, and my scheming uncle to kill! I'm swamped with work, and here I am sitting around in this damned swamp! SWAMPED!

-Bah! Nothing can I teach a mind that is not open! Not even for Hastog would I take such an apprentice! Reckless you are! Impatient!

SO WAS I!!! BWUHAHAHAHAHAAHAAA A voice rung through the hovel

Adoy?? You are the warrior of the swamp! Catherine stared at the gnome in disbelief, realizing her shame.

-So difficult to believe is it? No matter, you will listen and I will take you to the place you seek. But nothing more will I teach you. Another is coming, from far away, in a ship, I him must teach. Only the portal I will show you. But have you any heirs, then send to me, and I will teach, if respectful.

So Catherine and Adoy left his hovel and walked into the swamp.

                  to be continued...

                  • Marcus of Britannia,

I am in the process of withdrawing my armies from you borders.
Your predecessor has insulted me which caused me to take this decision.
Persia is friendly towards the Persian people.
What is your position in this matter? Will we be friends and are there good reasons for me to continue to protect your borders, or shall I continue to withdraw my troops?

                      Guru Far’Az,

There was once a time long ago when I believed our nations to be friends. Then because of your false god members of your faith killed thousands of my people and tried to kill me as well. Though Persia herself has done nothing to Britannia never the less had it done anything to stop the atrocities which occurred under Guru Cheney. I am old and I doubt I will be alive long enough to pass judgment you Persia so I will leave that to the next generation to decide. As for your troops they are not wanted or needed. I will allow them to pass through Britannia but let is be the last time Persian troops pass through my lands again.

I have never intervened in Britannian politics.
Persia has never supported any party in your civil war.
Your attitude towards Persia is without grounds.
Persian axemen have defended Britannian civilians.
Your "not wanted or needed" qualifications of these heroes are baseless and uncivilized.

I warn you to not anger your neighbours.
                        We have not much mercy.

Guru you may not have intervened in Britannian politics but it was followers of your own faith that took my nation from me. It is true your axemen have fought off barbarians for many years and they have my thanks for that but in the same token where they when Britannians where being put to death by the thousands because of their faith? You say they protected Britannian citizens when in fact they only allowed for Cheney to kill thousands of my people in the name of your faith. Those who can turn a blind eye to the wrongful killing of innocent peoples are not needed or wanted in my nation. Perhaps my successor will be more open to you but for now my people and I have much grieving to do before we begin to try and rebuild this nation again.

                          • As Marcus walked through Pendragon the true damage had become clear.

Reports came in from every city and ever small village around the empire. In each city
mass graves where found filled with the decaying bodies that could not be recognized.

Large unmarked cemeteries where built outside each city.

In the days and weeks that passed the nation mourned the loss of the nearly three-
hundred thousand innocent men, woman, and children who were killed by a crazed man
                            and his faith.

                            • Friendship city, a place for all

                              Great civilizations on our continent:

Recently, Byzantium and Egypt came close to war. Not because of greed, not because of diplomatic reasons, not because of hurt pride. No, they nearly went to war because of miscommunication. Because of words that failed to reach us in time.

We came to realize that war is often caused by a failure to communicate. Often, the reason for bloodshed is a misunderstanding, in which one civilization does not understand the actions of another, simply due to a lack of information.

As I mentioned, Byzantium and Egypt nearly went to war because of such a lack of information. Our wise neighbour Byzantium was actually undertaking an act of kindness, by ousting the barbarians North of our lands, and planning to give us the barbarian city as an act of friendship. Egypt only saw armies marching, and heard rumours of Byzantine greed. The opposite was true. Byzantium gifted Egypt the city, which they have aptly named Friendship City.

We will record this event in our history, and we will draw a lesson from it. But that is not all. As the city was given to us, Egypt feels that there is a higher cause for Friendship city. We feel that the symbolism of what has happened is too great to call it a coincidence. We therefore have a plan for Friendship City.

Egypt is no threat to any civilization. We are but a small nation of miners, traders and builders. We are committed to peace, and we are committed to hard work. We also realize that there are many civilizations on this relatively small continent, and our proximity to one another carries a risk, as we all know. We feel that now that we are starting to work with the seas, and now that we can look at other places than our own birthing grounds, that it is time to work together.

Egypt envisions a future in which we work as one, sending out settlers and workers to other places in the world, bringing civilization to the savages on the other side of the seas. However, in order to do this, we should create a place where we can gather when important matters develop that demand direct communication between all of us, a place where we can debate, and where we can overcome disagreements between our nations.

Egypt offers Friendship City, a symbol for friendship and peace and communication considering its origins, as a forum for all to gather when times demand it. We will build a great palace, which will be called Friendship Palace, which we will consider neutral ground, a place where all the great leaders on our continent are welcome at all times, and especially when times are tense, when there is a need for a neutral place to facilitate necessary debate and discussion. As I said above, we are no threat to anyone, and we play but a small part in world affairs. It is therefore only appropriate that we offer our hospitality, as it is the only great commodity that we can truly share.

We invite you to come and visit Friendship city, where we have paved the streets with gold, and created personal quarters for all of you in Friendship Palace, styled using what knowledge we have of your civilization, to make you feel at home as much as possible. Awaiting your answer to our invitation, we will have our virgins pray to our gods that they may watch over you all, and watch over our shared home, this beautiful continent.

May Ra shine his light upon you forever,

                              Hor-Aha

First I'll approve the request you did to me in a private message and send it to you straight away.

I understand your current sorrows and pain caused by the miserable state of Britannia. I hope that you will acknowledge that Persia did not cause this pain, neither did Hastog do this! Persia, Russia and Ottomania all worship the Fat Pig but we are not in the same situation as Britannia is.
The demise of Britannia has been caused by Chen'Az! Remember that!
