          • The reports to Constantine from the eastern scouts left no room for doubt - out to the east in the great desert hills, lay another civilisation who had built great gold and copper mines, with roads disappearing further to the east.

Immediately Constantine seeing an opportunity for trade, friendship and mutual security, send messengers to climb into those hills, and make contact with the miners, and their overlords.

The message a simple one "Hail great delvers for metal in the desert hills ...

            • War

The first the people of Constantinople knew of it was the sight of two men, running up the valley of the Marmara, caked in dust, sleepless hard eyes hardly noticing the onlookers as they ran straight for Constantine's palace.

Inside their message was quickly delivered. To the west, large forces of barbarians have gathered and are moving this way.

"So it has come to this" Constantine said sadly "the devil is indeed active in this world, twisting the minds of men to hatred and evil, destroying all that is fair in this world. But" turning to the messengers and the elders "do not fear, we are prepared".

"First, send runners to our friends, to Cole the Brave and the People of the Red Cross, to the Greeks our cousins, and to the miners of the eastern hills. Send word to the elders at Thessalonica"

"Then summon to me the captain of the bronze axe. Now is the time to demonstrate his power"

              • Constantine my friend from the North, the people of the Red Cross are ready immediately to send north 2 battalions of axemen. I will wait to hear from you first before I give out orders, in the meantime I will have my warriors sharpen their axes.

                  • In the valley of the river Beretyo lies Delphi. Wooden huts built on the bank of the river and for a long time the only structure emerged above these huts was the Tower of the Moon, home of the God. Within the tower is the chamber of eternity where the god king slumbers, as it's rumored Sha'tur spends his time among the other gods and only the chief shamans can reach him time to time in their dreams, in which they he can hear the wisdom of the God.

It's a great day for us, our people are celebrating a newly built shrine, and for the first time, Chief Shaman Zulkash spends his night there meditating

                    ...and dreaming...

(the shamans kept notes of their 'dreams', first these were recorded on clay tablets- below is the oldest of these)
((ofc you have to have a great spy or a time machine sort of to actually be able to read this.. not to mention a translator aswell, but you are lucky))

In the year 1750 ((from the foundation of Delphi)) Recorded by Zulkash, chief shaman of Delphi.
                    So speaks the God:

Unworthy creatures.. You have failed me.. again
                    My..my Lord..
You should had --(unfortunately the tablet is damaged and this part of the text cannot be translated. it continues: )-- ..but You become weak and feeble.. and this shrine.. so called.. it does not impress me at all..
                    Please forg...
...but it's a start nevertheless. You worship me!-even more eagerly- and I shall send you a prophet, my avatar. He will guide you and with his lead you shall build a true shrine, one that is worthy to my name and then you will spread the word to all unbelievers. But till then you have some pressing matters.. your ancient enemies are returning, as I have foreseen that. You must.. (the tablet is broken at this point, the rest of the text is missing)

                    • The great Korta met with his most respected of advisors. "What is happening in Mali?" he demanded.

"Korta, we have found a way to dig the brown rocks and the yellow rocks from the ground. The yellow rocks are very shiny and don't melt like brown rocks do. We don't know what to do with them."

The agriculture advisor spoke up. "We have also tamed the wild beasts to the northeast. We use their milk and meat to give food to our people. We have just learned how to breed them so we don't run out of food and milk."

The great Korta smiled and nodded. "Keep up good work."

                      • Greating Cole the Brave,

The byzantine people are indeed blesssed to have friends as generous and open-hearted as the people of the red cross.

Current reports suggest that our own axemen can happily destroy the barbarians. The reason for sending messengers to our friends in this case was more to alert you to emergence of this menance, rather than an appeal for help. Soon I imagine the borders of us all will be plagued in this way.

Civilization will flourish if all nations protect their own borders from the barbarian menance, leaving no place for them to gather, and come to the aid of any nations which finds itself overwhelmed. We are confident that in this instance we can protect our own borders, but your offer of help is an example to us all.

                        Long may civilization flourish!

                        • Out in the wilderness

For many centuries the Korzan people did explore their world. Brigades of new settlers were sent to the corners of the world. They begun working the fields and digging the metals from the ground. Beasts were gathered and put into fields protected by logs chopped from the forrests.

The soldiers patrolled the world and protected the settlers as they looked for suitable lands to dwell in. In the East the soldiers set up base on large hill overlooking the desserts to the south and the plains to the north. Here they could see the hordes of the devil approaching before they could damge the Korzan villagers and they would often charge down the hill and attack the Devils to repel them.

To the West more soldiers patrolled the vast jungles of Diablo. Here many scouts had gone missing over the years. Exploring but never to return. The soldiers now were sworn to make it safe for all.

In the city of the Despot himself, he kept his trusted men at arms by his side at al ltimes. The captains of his guard. The city was well patrolled and the citizens armed. The armies has set up the Fires of Korzan as the messaging system. If enemies were to pass then large bonfires would be lit, warning the Despot of the approach. For centuries familys would pass the tradition down to the sons and the their families. Living on the moutain peaks. The bonfire always at the ready. Not once had they been used. But always were they prepared.

                          • The size of the tribe was growing and Sitting Bull called a Pow Wow to talk about a new settlement. It was decided that Sicangu ‘Burnt Thighs’ would venture north with his close family tribe members to look for a suitable new home.. Sitting Bull said that ‘Spotted Wolf’ should accompany the new grouping.

It was just as well he did because just as they set out they were attacked by that family of black cougars. The family offered prayers to the great Bison.
