  • For me you're not the champion yet :P
You have to proof now that you deserve the Champion title!

If Russia would've been next to you and I would have had the Mali as my neighbour our positions would have been the other way around!
Stupid slavish bastards destroyed my entire cottage field!!!

I love it I'm glad they're next to me and I also hope that they'll get better neighbours next game b/c they deserve it. But hey, it's not over till the Fat Guru Wins! :B

    • BTW, my battle is not with India but with Byzantium.
I'm more then willing to give the in-game victory to India if I can pass Byzantium in diplogame-score!

I still sent some force through Egypt.. it was a very very expensive adventure without a hope to gain anything actually , but it was good for the story
And no denying here that had "exploited" my safe location in the begining. I just hope to see really exciting game endings in future games where the first one not acting as the nice guy collecting lost of ally etc.. sure civ is not just about war, but it's more fun

@Persia, I don't let you letting me having the ingame victory so easily Sure if i'd accept your peace and bring my 40 units back to the homeland which protecting New India right now I'd have much greater chance at home.. but I won't let you win there.. not without a fight :P (actually this give you more story material, so you could thank me )

and if we are deep inside ooc discussions already, grats everyone who gets the grreat scores in story and diplo, especially to those small civs who take their part very actively in this despite their position

        • War generates better stories and diplomacy.
Hence, even the spy actions generate good diplo and stories!

It actually inspired us to handle your spy agent!
He says 'hi', btw. Ok, it's more something like "bwi"

                • Sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind...

                  Just to be 100% clear:
What is going on in the Moscow dungeon is of course unknown to the rest of the world. I wrote it because it will make for a good story. It's a story without any relevance to politics (for now)

as for my spy... he probably had it coming.

Hey in all seriousness he is the one topping the overall score table, so lets all ally vs him.

                    • I believe the famous saying is,

"They all run around playing war for 4000 years, and in the end, the Byzantines win."

                      • I am at a conference in San Francisco this weekend. I have my laptop (with civ on it) so I can still play the Native's turns, but may miss one or two and may not be as active with diplomacy as I would be otherwise. Just FYI.

Also, I snuck into some big, important video game conference today. Couldn't find anything on Civ V

I appreciate the unlikely optimism guys, but the reality is the other way round. Its being at the centre of wars which gives you lots of diplo-score points. If Persian is focused on winning in diploscore (how ungentlemanly - there was me thinking we were just playing a game ) the way to go is being at the centre of wars and creating incidents just for the sake of it. The way to defeat someone in diploscore is not to ally against them - no,no,no - but for everyone to simply ignore them.

What gave you ever the idea that I'm a gentleman? I'm a Hastogianist

And about diplo-score, I don't think that diplomacy equals to be at peace with everyone. I think it's a way to get your will done through words. If that angers all the world, fine.
