Robert isn't here, I have token the liberty to go into the game, make a save, and pause the game.

Russia can go in and press 'pause' to play his game.
Maybe it's best if Russia then pauses the game again to give Byzantium time to play his turn.

Hi Russia,

Yes we go to a turn order, and use pauses if necessary to ensure that each person does get to play their turn. Either of us can request to move to 24 hrs - a bit more of a pain for everyone else if we do, but either way experience from past has shown its far better to stick to a turn order even if it makes for some delays, rather than get into arguments about double moves.

Yesterday I posted:

Russia has declared war on Byzantium.

In 355 AD, Russia moved first (declaring war) and Byzantium second.
In previous turn, the order was Russia then Byzantium, so no problems there.

So from now on the order should be Russia first then Byzantium.

According to the rules we should swap now to a 24 hr turn. I would be happy to try to keep going as we are.

Hope you agree with this.

Just going to play my turn now (which will mean you can't log in again until the turn flips, just as I couldn't log in befre you had played)

Guys - I have a problem!

My keyboard doesn't have a PAUSE button on it (can you believe it?). So I can't unpause the game which Persian kindly paused.

I am around now. So unless someone can tell me a clever key combination which has the same effect as Pause can someone log in and unpause it?

Ok, I'm home again.
It seems like Byzantium has just played his turn. The game is most probably unpaused now.

I have placed a 21h timer now.
Last week like 80% of the turns were finished in less then 12 hours, so I believe that even with a longer turn timer we'll still have short turns, but it'll ensure us that both warring parties can play their turn.

I asked to pause the game but you did not. Not a problem, it's solved b/c of Persia (Thanks!) but it would have saved me some gray hairs if you would just have done it
