For the record: I have capitulated to the Romans, but we use 'normal vassalage'.
I acknowledge that I can only end this vassalage if Rome agrees.

We agreed to use normal vassalage so that we can end the vassalage if we both agree, rather then being forced to stick to capitulation.

If I break free from Rome without his (her) agreement it's ooc cheating and you should all yell at me. (finally deserved )

The Metalheads have become titans of industry, embracing the free market as few other nations in the world have done. Their two leading lights, Cereal Mills and Creative Constructions, both based in the world's financial capitol: Black Sabbath, have expanded aggressively throughout the Meduian continent. They are looking next to begin expanding overseas.

Cereal Mills have begun an aggressive advertising campaign, hoping that the worldwide love for the superior Metalhead culture could be used to help sell cereal. This new television ad has attracted a great deal of buzz in foreign markets:

Introduction of the Creative Constructions Website

The corporate giants of the Metalheads have upped their advertising budgets across the board. After the success of the Cereal Mills television ad, other prominent corporations have begun to look at new technology to spread their message.

Creative Constructions, the Metalhead's oldest and largest corporation have taken to the Roman invention of the "Internet" and built the company's first website, CreativeConstructions.com.

Whether you are interested in residential, commercial or government buildings, Creative Constructions has a design for you. Please visit the website for more information.

Tired of the centuries of leading the fast growing Metalhead Empire, Ozzy the Bateater is, at last, contemplating his retirement. More than anything he wants some peace and quiet after a few stressful millenia.

After looking over the Creative Constructions website, Ozzy sent his agent, Ari Greenburg, to negotiate the construction of a home somewhere in the peaceful woods around Guns 'n Roses to retire to. Greenburg met personally with Creative Constructions CEO, Vince Neil.

Vince Neil - So I understand the enlightened leader of our people is in need of a proper house to retire to?

Ari Greenburg - Indeed, Ozzy has three houses currently, but none are quite what he is looking for. He is experiencing a religious reawakening, and wants something that is more spiritually focused, something intertwined with nature.

Vince Neil - I see, wonderful, well you've come to the right place. I understand, Ozzy has looked over our website?

Ari Greenburg - Absolutely, and he is very impressed with many of your previous projects. He thinks Creative Constructions can help bring him peace in his old age. He wants something new and exceptional, this is the father of our nation, he can't live just anywhere. Ozzy isn't going to just buy a house from one of his neighbors or anything.

                *both men chuckle briefly*

Vince Neil - Wonderful, wonderful. I will put our absolute top architects on the project immediately. By the way, if he is looking for a new home, does he have any plans to sell any of his current ones? Creative Constructions, in addition to being the world's top architectural firm, also does a brisk business in real estate.

Ari Greenburg - That is a good question. I'm sure we could arrange something, I still need to get some final details from him, but I believe Ozzy is going to sell five houses in the near future.

Vince Neil - Five houses? You said but a moment ago that he owned just three houses.

Ari Greenburg - Ah, true, it is hard to keep track sometimes. I guess it doesn't matter if Ozzy has three houses or seventeen houses. I think we may be getting side tracked.

                Vince Neil - Side tracked?

Ari Greenburg - Yea, lets get back to discussing the house to be built, Ozzy is not going to sell a house. So how soon do you estimate the house will be ready?

Vince Neil - Looking over these specifications you handed me, it looks like this will be a complicated project. I suppose Ozzy could buy this one house in about ten years.

Ari Greenburg - Hmm, that is quite a far distance, Ozzy would strongly prefer to buy this one house in two years.

Vince Neil - I'm afraid that is difficult to do. For the moment, the firm is quite busy with our current projects, and for the next several months new house building is on hold. That will delay the project and a two year deadline doesn't seem feasible.

Ari Greenburg - Perhaps in five years?

Vince Neil - We shall put our top men on it, I assure you.

                    To: Holy Roman Empire

                    We are in awe.

Only a short while has passed since we were at war. And in a noble move of complete selflessness you now liberate the city of Cordoba and allow the Spanish people there to rejoin our nation. We feel that the fish and sheep you have asked in return, are not enough and we consider ourselves in your debt.

                    Warmest Regards,
Alejandro Helvetico, Elected President and Stadholder of the Spanish Territories

                        Thanks Maya, Spain & Rome.

I had been thinking about it since I founded it, but I had to wait for someone to build the Internet first.

I thought you found that creativeconstructions.com actually was a real site and a real corporation! But now I see that it's not really cc.com but a subdomain of your real site!

From: Foreign Minister Evgeni Plushenko, Council of Transition and Stability
                              To: Chairman Shinichiro
Subject: A long lasting Peace and Piercian Protection

Prime Minister Aleksandrovich, has requested that I contact you with regard to a true and genuine Treaty between our peoples that will go far beyond settling border disputes and the ending of Wars. A new age is dawning and both Japan and Russia must look first to the protection of the peoples of own nations rather than squabble about the ownership of paddy fields. More than this, both Japan and Russia owe a special duty to the people of Piercia. We have fought two vicious Wars that have left a hundred thousand civilians dead and millions injured or displaced with their homes destroyed and farms ravaged.

Both Japan and Russia have been but Pawns of the Mighty and seen our young men dead upon the battlefield for no gain to our nations. Whatever should happen elsewhere it must never again occur between us. We must be truly independent of the machinations of those who seek for the stars or seek World Dominion. We must look to free Piercia from any risk of future conflict.

Prime Minister Aleksandrovich would ask to take time away from Rostov to visit you in Kyoto and a formalise a draft Treaty based upon these terms.

                              1. Japan and Russia agree to a timeless Non-Aggression pact.

                              2. Japan and Russia agree to accept the current demarkation lines in Piercia and make no attempt to alter them by ANY means.

                              3. Japan and Russia agree to take it as their sovereign duty to protect the people of Piercia.

                              4. Japan and Russia agree to do all possible to promote Piercian national identity in such forms as Piercian should be the primary language taught in schools and Piercian national dress must never be banned.

                              5. Japan and Russia agree to cooperate in the long term goal of returning Piercia to its' rightful status as a free and independent nation.

If these terms are acceptable as a basis for discussion the Prime Minister would wish to meet with you at your earliest convenience.

                              Foreign Minister Evgeni Plushenko
For, and on behalf of, The Russian Federation

                                New Life in Rome

Throughout the Roman Empire the news of Cleopatra's stunning victory over the ancient enemy the Spartans was greeted with amazement and joy. Those who had doubted whether a woman could rule such a mighty and yet embattled empire were silenced.

Across the Empire the face of one woman stared out from billboards and on the TV: Cleopatra

The celebrations in Rome proclaimed that truly now, after millenia of being seen as a industrial-military desert by many nations, Rome was one of the great cities of the world.

Though its claim to be the first city of the Empire was as always disputed by Oath City, whose place and power had grown hugely after it became the home city of the SRM and following that many other international financial and industrial coporations. Many also found its coastal location more pleasant than the landlocked Rome.

But these were not momentary celebrations. Day after day huge crowds assembled in Rome for the chance of a glimpse of Cleopatra. The furure only increased now by the rumours that beautiful Queen Alexandra was on her way to Rome.

Indeed many felt that Rome was now entering a new golden age, not known since the days of Tribune Hieronymus himself.
