  • Sparta retreats from Novograd

The occupation of Novograd in Russia was the last Spartan attempt to find a peaceful solution for the Russian-Spartan conflict. Sparta hoped to be able to trade Novograd for Pierced Hill. Unfortunately this offer was rejected by Russia.

Now Pierced Hill will be conquered by Japan and Novograd will be returned to Russia. Both cities will suffer the loss of citizen and infrastructure.

The Spartan armies In Novograd have been disbanded as we speak.
Sparta has no interest in occupying Novograd.

    • General Pantev of Portugal,

Great Friend, I come to you in these times of sorrow.
Rome has declared war on us. The unthinkable has happened, Rome would rather stand up for their malicious Russian friends then continue our long lasting and fruitful friendship.

Roman ships and bombers have already attacked Spartan ships in open water.

I call upon you for help.

      • War Report

The Russian city "Pierced Hill" has fallen to the Japanese
The Russian capital "Novograd" has fallen to the Spartans
The Roman city "Corfinium" in Mayan territory has fallen to the Spartans

        Russian troops approach Manilla Harbour
Japanese troops are taking control of Piercia, apart from the Manilla Harbour army and some defences at the two other Piercian cities, Russia has not much armies left in Piercia after Japan destroyed their huge army in Pierced Hill.

Spartan armies invade west-Mayan lands of Rome, not many Roman armies are defending the Mayan cities.

In the Middle Sea Roman and Spartan ships are battling each other.
Some Roman ships sunk (transport, battleship, submraine), one Spartan destroyer sunk. Some Roman bombers were shot down by Spartan destroyers.

A Spartan attempt to approach the Taoist Holy city failed.

The city of Novograd has been abandoned by Spartan armies after all peace negotiations failed. The empty transport ship was destroyed by Roman/Russian ships.

          • Sparta elected greatest commedians of all time

Soldiers, sailors and airmen of the Pax Romana, have found a surprising source of solice in these dark
days of betrayal and invasion: Spartan propaganda.!

            A typical exchange:

Romulus: Hey listen to this Remus. Alexander says "Explain me once again how Sparta violates the
treaty of Pierced Hill. We only end it."

Remus: (laughing) "I don't violate it, I just end it. That is a good one. Here Alexander, my baynout isn't
going to violate your stinking life, just end it! I should try it with my bank - no, no I am not breaking my
mortgage agreement, I'm just ending it! You really couldn't make it up could you!"

Romulus: I've got another one here. "The occupation of Novograd in Russia was the last Spartan
attempt to find a peaceful solution. "

Remus (shaking his head almost weaping)"The invasion and capture of the Russian capital, the second
city of the Pax Romana, was an attempt to find a peaceful solution. I'd hate to see what the Spartans
            think being aggressive is then!

Romulus: How about this: "Russia has not much armies left in Piercia after Japan destroyed their
            huge army in Pierced Hill"
Japan destroyed them. Oh yes, those Spartan tanks, driven by Spartan
soliders, speaking Spartan, but flying little Japanese flags, flags of a nation which can't even make a
steam engine, yet supposedly has tanks." (gales of laughter) "Japanese tanks, it will be the flying pig
bombers next! Does he really think anyone believes that this is a Japanese war, not a Spartan one?"

Remus: "Probably, someone has to believe his propoganda just a shame its only him! But its not joke really,
listen to this "The Spartan armies In Novograd have been disbanded as we speak." They were disbanded
by the shells of our tanks! Disbanded indeed. They were sent on a suicide mission by the tyrant Alexander, and
met the prescribed fate. 'Disbanded'. Is that what he tells the new widows and orphans he has created back
home. I have 'disbanded' your husbands and fathers?

Romulus: "Its what you expect from the Spartans - a tissue of lies. Self justification for their oath breaking
"no no" interjects Remus "not oath breaking, oath ending - a Spartan never breaks an agreement he just ends it
whenever he likes" ... more laughter ... "and now attempts to cover up the utter failure of their invasion of Russia.
Disbanded - thats a good one. But you can see his point "utterly defeated" would not sound as good.
Alexander's never one to let the truth stand in his way!

Remus: "We will have more of these lies to come, I promise you. If within the first year of war he is having to produce
this kind of ridiculous propoganda to cover up his wickedness and failure, think what will come when we actualy start
            to fight him!"

            • Facts about the Spartan/Japanese vs Russia/Rome war:

              • Novograd was occupied, not razed. The Spartan armies were aware of the Roman tanks when they invaded the city. The Spartan armies knew that they would be unable to keep Novograd. Still they did not raze it. Spartans are not barbarians.
The invasion of Novograd was a strategy to distract the Romans and the Russians. Now Roman tanks are deep into Russia while the war takes place far away.
Spartan generals are happy that Roman soldiers are having fun about this. It doesn't happen that often that Roman generals were mislead and still do not understand it after it was explained to them!

              • Japan is a part of the Spartan empire. Japanese generals used Spartan made tanks to liberate Piercian Hills. Once again Sparta is glad that the Romans rejoice about this and are not traumatised because of the many losses. Sparta doesn not only defeat it's enemies. It does so in such a way that even the defeated enemies enjoy the process.

              • Sparta never broke any oath. Sparta only ended an 80 year old peace treaty. Fortunately Roman soldiers are too dumb to see the difference so that they can have some fun about it while their empire crumbles.

              • It is funny though that Marcus of Rome continues to call names and claims oath breaking everywhere. Yesterday he was caught yelling at his dog that had made an oath to never bark again, and then broke it. Some say that Marcus had lost it all. Too many enemies made him go insane. Now he sees oath breakers behind every tree. This form of insanity is well known among Roman Emperors. Too many enemies make people paranoid.

              • Marcus of Rome, we abandoned Novograd. For the record, we did not vow an oath to never occupy it again! You'd better guard it with a thousand tanks! Don't worry if your soldiers will get bored in Novograd. They can tell each other jokes to entertain each other while their empire crumbles in the far west.

              • East of Novograd there are 4 Spartan transports waiting, filled with cannons and tanks. They are ready to invade Russia again as soon as the Roman armies left. Really!

              • Spartan generals also laughed with Alexander when he published the joke that 'the occupation of Novograd was the last attempt to get peace'.
All Spartan leaders are happy that Rome and Sparta, despite their mutual hate, still share the same sense of humour.

              • The disbanded armies of Novograd, a group of knighs, returned home in Argos. They immediately tried to visit the widows of the soldiers that died in Novograd. No widows were found, they all had died. Not that unexpected since Sparta had send an army of 95+ year old obsolete soldiers to Russia. Spartan soldiers who had the desire to die in honour on the battlefields. It was an instant classic story already, how a bunch of very veteran soldiers crawled into Novograd, misleading all of Rome while the best of the best of Sparta was ready to invade real strategical positions.

Spartan soldiers would surely have enough reasons for laughter and fun, but jokes and fun are only for soldiers who'd rather be distracted by a joke then face the truth: death.

                • Tokyo/Pierced Hill is Liberated!

The Japan-Spartan combined forces succesfully liberated Tokyo form the Russian oppressors.

((.. Suprisingly we found less the defenders than we expected. As we learnt later many russian soldiers abadoned the city and marched against the poorly defended Manila Harbour. I fear our men can't hold the city untill our reinforcements arrive, but we will liberate them very soon in case the russians manage to take it.
..the battle.. it was a bloody one...the spartan tanks made their job effectively... those monsters cut through the defense lines and then Japanese soldiers drave away the enemy from the streets.
We had little time to celebrate. The war has just started.. and many of our cities still under russian controll. And somewhere, not so far away an evil giant prepares to send it's doom upon us.

                    an editorial

Madness, delusions of granduer, hubris. This country is cursed with its leaders. Having escaped the machinations of our former Queen, her chess games, her outright machiavellianism, we now are in the hands of another warmonger. A man who claims that it is in the best interest not to open a dialog. A man screaming for more blood. Our blood.

Our government has been manipulating and manipulated for so long now, balancing this, provoking that, driving a wedge between who we should have been looking at for support, our neighbors. Have we not grown from the same tribes on this continent? Have we not traded since time began?

This is a plea for the end of this madness. I sincerely hope our neighbors and our government can work this out. Let us raise up and demand that our government asks that the Romans, Portuguese and the Spartans from now on mind their own business and leave our lands. We just want to live our lives...

I realize I might be arrested for writing this, either by the "General" or his Roman secret police cronies. If that happens, I urge you to fight the fight!

                          • Spartan War Crimes - the Free World Gathers

The true nature of the Oath-Breaker, Alexander Tyrant of Sparta, Japan and Korea has started to emerge:

                            1. Spartan forces have burnt to the ground and utterly destroyed the city of Corfinium. Not capture; not occupied; but using all the mordern panapoly of war - tanks, infantry and artillery - crushed and exterminated the civilian population of a whole city. It had been completely demilitarised by the Romans - this was no battle with civilians as collateral damage - this was a straightfoward act of barbarism by the medieval regieme of Alexander. A defenceless civilian population exterminated.

                            2. Spartan forces have invaded Mayan lands. A form of cease-fire has lasted for generations between the Maya and the Romans and Spartans. But now, Alexander's lust for power (oh for Menalaus's lust for fish!) is not content to be waging war on the Spanish, Russians and Romans, he invades the Maya as well - now the weakest nation in the world. His greed knows no bounds.

                            3. The free world gathers. Cheif Tahre of the peaceful Wynadot people, has declared that he marches south to defend the Pax Romana, in particular to defend teh Russian people against the onslaught of Sparta and Japan. Even the Wyndaot people, the most peaceful in all the world, could not stand idly by in the fact of Alexander's bloody and hate-filled quest for dominance.

Ha!, To protect the Russian people? Those are just troops who are occupying our cities! Quite strange act from peaceloving people.. but i wonder : did they think it through? Are they ready to suffer instead of Rome, who despite being the strongest nation still forces the Wyandots to war...

Japan declares again that she wants nothing more, but their cities back and for that we will fight. Even being hopelessly outmached we will show the world how determined we are!
