  • I think in any rules you put together Capo and any one else who wants t oparticipate is to creat a rule for Pitboss that upon any posting of a problem hte game must be paused immediately.

An investigation can then insue. Upon the completion of hte investigation into any issue the results wil lbe posted and actiosn agreed upon.

To prevent people making frivolous complaints. If the problem is found by the invesigation to be not an issue , the complaint lodger shal lhave some form of penalty meted out.

Just a suggestion, but i believe allowing the turns to continue is what caused the biggeast problem in this game for all isseus dating back to the original Maya double move. Once more turns are done , less and less people want to rewind.

so the game pause must be done immediateyl..

        Haha... Indeed.

Although I think everyone has realised this. The problem is what happens the game isn't paused, even when it should have been.

I think THIS TIME nobody objected to pausing the game except you, you sniveling little punk. I take back any good thing I said about you during our attempt to find a solution. Thanks for wasting an hour of my time you *******.

            • Capo... I can understand your anger and frustration. If I was in your stiuation, I would probably feel the same way. But PLEASE, let's stop with the personal insults. Feel free to discuss the issues as you see them, and make whatever arguments you want, but try to keep it civil. Let the readers and other community members judge for themselves... Thanks!

              • I'm sorry Ming, I'll stop. But I got a really raw deal here and now those involved are glossing over the entire thing. I think everyone else in the game has the right to know that I spoke with Cyber on Skype, there were three other players from the game present as well, where we took around an hour and a half to figure out a solution. Finally we got something on the table and Cyber and I agreed to "sleep on it." That very same day Cyber posts that he is kicking me out of the game and continuing despite several people, including two of the "judges," stating that a reload was the most probable/preferable outcome.

Clearly we are past the possibility of me returning to the game, I can't do that after all of this. Its just a shame that this event occured when it was entirely avoidable. I asked him for a pause numerous times, and many of those times "in person" and he refused even though he now claims that nobody requested a pause. I don't think anyone outright said no to a pause either. He just did what he wanted to do and for him to try and gloss over it, even with cooperation from other players (two in particular, you know who you are) is quite disheartening. Just because he is the host should not mean he has cart blanche to do whatever he wants, especially in a game involving so many players who have invested so much time and effort into it, even beyond the game itself. Its a shame, in my mind, that one of the best posters in the entire community (I don't say this out of arrogance, my votes speak for themselves) and one of the original remaining Diplogamers is treated like this by someone who, up until now, I had a vast deal of respect for.

Its a bad turn of events in my mind, and I am upset about it and said some inappropriate things. For this I apologize. But I don't apologize to Cybershy, and take back nothing that I have said towards him. But I am sorry Ming for sullying your forums.

                • Just for the record: you were not kicked out of the game.
You are still very welcome to return and I honestly hope that you would consider that.

I'm also still willing to give stuff up to let you return.
For the record: Pinchak is still in and we are having quite an interesting war.

There's also someone considering to sub for Korea right now.
You have first choise of course.

And for the record: yes, you requested a pause. And now I do realise that I should have listened back then and I do apologize for that.

                  • I am so glad i left when i did to a avoid such a farce as this turned out to be.

I know capo gets very emotional at times and can be easily ignored due to this and even my own posts are often ignored as jsut whining and complaining.

But stil lseems to me that till the Diplo Community realise that the players are more important than the game then this type of occurance is doomed to be repeated.

It is only a game folks, no one wil ldie if you pause it. No one will die if you reload it.

But people will form bad opinions of each other if ignored and treated like second rate.

The diplo community i belonged to used to make people feel part of it. Made them feel wanted and important, that the interaction of the palyers was what was improtnat not the GAME continuing at all costs.

I love playing civ , i am nto good at it , i dont spend the time analysing what is best move etc. I jsut play for the social interaction. but now i question is it realyl worthwhile palying when so much goes on like this. I know many feel i not welcome to play after leavign earlier in game, i had my reasons and dont need to go into them here. but please folks., remember it is people that are improtant not the GAME continuing at al lcosts...

You literally said, I forget where though, "I have kicked Capo from the game." So don't give me this garbage. But the damage is done, its too late to turn back now. I'm officially out, so don't worry about giving me another shot. Replace Korea with whoever you want, I don't care anymore.

                          Ah, I see the problem.
Maya wanted to play your turns but didn't know your password.
Then I 'kicked' you out of the game just to clear your password so that Maya could play your turns.

I have most probably said "I have kicked Korea", not Capo.
I do not have the authority to kick you out of the game. And I would never want that. You havei invested that much in this game, not to mention that your stories are an important part of this game. You're not for nothing #1 in story telling!!!

It's only a couple of turns you missed.

The only reason they live is because they are such good trade partners. Well that and their forces are twice the size of mine.

I don't know, they never post, never even respond to a map exchange!

They are a mystery to me.
