    Mr. General,

We have heard rumours from travellers that visited our city that you are not trustful.
Forgive me for sending you this message, but you may understand that I start to doubt the value of the deal we made. Therefore I want to contact you directly regarding these rumours. I have no pleasure in hearing rumours that may be wrong. I'd rather talk with you about these rumours then with others.

Can you please inform me about the nature of these rumours. Is it true that deals made with you are worthless? Or can we trust you to live up to your deal?

Be aware that I never ceased to build up my army, both by building floaters and by building phalanxs. I will use these armies to invade Persia the moment that it appears that you do not live up to your deal.

If you are honourable and respectable and you will live up to our deal, then there is no need to worry. Sparta does always live up to it's deal. We owe that to our honourable nature.

If these rumours turn out to be false I will execute those travellers myself.

Please let me know as soon as possible.
Know that from tomorrow on I will start producing our fleet of floaters.

    Alexander of Sparta

I ordered the defneces to be doubled why wsnt this done.

Sire we are strained to the breaking point. With the Perica / Portogese war we moved some defneders to the East to protect borders.

Ok that was a good move. Send the Central provinces defenders down to the south , we must hold the prt at al lcosts.

          • Still at the gates of the desert city

Another portuguese messenger arrived. He kept his distances with Sally and went to talk to Asiz.

M - " Prince, you will be pleased. It seems like the rumors of you travelling with a mighty sorceress quickly spread in town. The entire garrison will soon leave. They don't want to fight that woman. "

A - " Fine, hurry up with the evacuation of that town. My men will take care of it once you are done. And don't waste too much of my time ! "

M - " They will hurry for sure with theese rumors. "

Then the messenger went back to the town, still avoiding to get too close to Sally. She came to see Asiz once the messenger left.

S - " I have listened. It seems that i've been usefull in a way you wouldn't have imagined here, don't you agree. "

A - " You have prooved yourself usefull indeed. But all theese men here have come for nothing. There will be no batlle, and they will return home without honor. I hope those Spartans have more then just words to attack us with. I have hear theese people want to get to our borders, but can't even get a ship floating. If my men remain without fighting for long they will really grow impatient. I have promised them glory, not scaring away villagers. "

S - " I feel like theese Spartans a war-loving people. Their threats come out of nowhere, and the Empress told me that our messenger there has been treated rather poorly due to internal struggles in their Kingdom. "

A - " They have to love war, if they dare to speak as they do. I have been sent copies of their missives. They are insulting and decadent. Once that damn town is evacuated and burned to the grounds i will teach those Spartans respect and good manners. Personnally if the Empress allows this. "

S - " Do we have to stay here and wait, or can't we just leave a small group that will destroy the buildings once the civilians are gone ? "

A - " You have much to learn about troops morale, Oratress. If we leave this place, they would probably start a mutinerie. "

S - " Aren't they supposed to be among the best soldiers of the Empire ? "

A - " Indeed they are. And that's why they won't be left here like pawns. If they have to wait under this burning sun, so do we. "

            S - " I can do something about that. "

            A - " Why didn't you do before ? "

            S - " You didn't ask. " she said, laughing.

            Pierced Hill, Imperial Palace

A guard came into the throne room in hurry.

G- " Empress ! Oh my Empress. Forgive us, we have failed you. "

            I - " Calm down ! Explain yourself. "

G - " It's the general, my Empress, she was found dead in her chambers. He body showed several wounds, probably inflicted by some kind of dagger. "

            I - " Has anyone left the Palace this morning ? "

G - " No my Empress, the murderer probably still is in here. "

I - " Gather my most trusted guards and my daughter here as fast as you can, and lock up the room until the intruder is found ! "

G - " I will alert your daughter immediatly, my Empress."

"This is bad", Iris thought, "my most trusted guard is in the eastern desert, and this happens... can't be a coincidence." She ordered some sake, and leant back on Her throne. " Why was Kalimah around here for so long anyway ? What if Esther get's into trouble before she reaches the throne room ?"

One of Her bodyguards noticed Her worried look, and said :
" Don't you inflict such worries to yourself, my Empress, we have everything under control. "

She knew he lied. A high ranked officer had just been killed in the palace. But She didn't bother to answer and just adressed him an annoyed look that made him watch at his feet in embarrassment.

After a few moments, the first guard arrived together with Esther.

She entered the room visibly angered :

E - " Do those assassins have to come here while i was having fun with the servant and the whip ? "

The young servant girl followed, having trouble with staying on her feet. Small bloodmarks were all over her clothes.

I - " Your sick games won't make him come home faster, and you know that. Guard, lead that poor little thing to the chamans, so that they may treat her injuries."

One of the two guards left with the servant girl, carrying her in order to be faster. As soon as the door was closed again, Esther went on.

E - " All this would not happen if father was around. "

            I - " Don't you speak about... "

The Empress couldn't even finish her sentence as the guards blood spilled over her robes. The blade that Esther quickly drove through his throat was now directly pointed at Iris's face.

E - " You don't want me to ask about him. And you know what ? I don't need to. I know everything. You have lied to me for ever. But you told everything to her. That fundish girl, or whatever that country may be called. Why ? "

            I - " Esther... I... "

E - " What have i done for deserving such a treatment ? Am i not worthy of your love and trust ? "

            I - " You don't understand, i have done this..."

E - " To protect me ? From what ? From becoming a sorceress like she is ? From actually beeing capable of achieving something of meaning ? "

I - " You need to calm down Esther..."

E - " Calm down ? Calm down !?! For my whole life you have lied to me about who i am, about who you are, about who father is... about everything. But i have enough of this. Goodbye mother !"

She rammed the blade right between her mother's eyes. Blood spilled all over her. She went down on her knees, slowly looking around her. The dead guard, her dead mother, and her blade covered with blood. She took the guards blade and tainted it with her mothers blood. After that she pushed her blade in the wound at the guards throat and began to scream for help, faking tears, leaning over the dead body of Iris.

The guards body was thrown in the jungle, without ceremonial as it was usual for criminals. He was accused of betrayal and murder, while Esther was named regent until the return of the soon to be Emperor Asiz.

                From Prince Ragnor IV

It is with a grieving heart i recieved your missive. I personally never met your mother , but my ancestors speak highly of her.

The Oldonians have long yearned to see your beautiful lands and so I will take this oppurtunity to travel via the Wyandots lands and meet with them and then travel along with my friend the Great Chief Tarhe to your lands to mourn the loss of such a leader.

But let not the funeral end in grieivng as it is also a celbration of your great mothers life and the oppurtunites that are to come.

Long live the new Emporer may he return soon from war.

No leader says: "I'm not going to accept any proposal anymore, it's either this or kill all my people". Well, only Kim Yon Il will do that, but none of you pretent to be like Kim Yon Il.

If negotiations aren't working, continue the war.
Maybe Portugal has to deal with a civilization that's not reasonable. Well, that's a pitty. But it's not really impossible. Achmedjinedjad (?) is real as well.

Did you miss Aeilus being the at least partially insane leader of the ancient equivalent of a totalitarian regime, with the people unconditionally adoring him? And him having titles like beloved leader, great leader and big brother.

Judging what you do not know.

Also why are you taking Portugal's side in the matter? His leader isn't a totalitarian ruler and he is still behaving this way. Any may I remind you that it is he who is threatening to kill all his people fighting me, he is the one who has said numerous times in chat that he will fight to the end and not negotiate should Outpost be taken. Who is the unreasonable one Cyber?

Or maybe you are out to get me? Yes I can see it you are all out to get me! I will kill you all!

From: General Aelius, Dictator of Rome

My title is not mister, its Dictator or if we are on friendly terms general. The rumors of our supposed unreliability are fiction propagated by the great Satan Portugal*. We understand your desire to establish direct contact, we share it, in fact we asked in our lest letter for Piercia to advise both of us on where to meet, they unfortunately must have missed that letter.

The deal I offered Greece stands, our word is always kept when given to civilized peoples, again we have already talked to Piercia and sent workers to complete a viable trade route from our lands to your lands through Piercia.

Your threats to invade Piercia warm my heart, the war with Portugal has caused me a lot of distress and is generaly a very boring affair, fighting Greece might prove more entertaining, I hear that you have much land...

But we have no plans to push for this, we offered you free resources, do not push us.

Perhaps your floaters could be put to better use? Send a ship up north to our southern port city of Ravnenna. Perhaps contact can be made that way. Or maybe you can have the ship bring a scout to the continent of Phinchakia and beside making contact with us explore what must for you be a strange and foreign land.

We well understand the danger of traitors and the tragedy of accidents, why this very morning Sentor Oisus Krasus Petvoius was crushed by a shipment of heavy metal due to a supposedly incompetent loader... and Senator Robertus Plinius Cimerius found dead in his bath this morning, killed apparently. Truly these are dark and tragic times. But there is good news to, the senate has reaffirmed me as Dictator after Senator Hispanus Hercules revealed supposed evidence of my insanity, we humored the poor soul and then sent him off to a distant mountains temple where he can make an offering to the God's to heal his sick mind.

I also understand the burden of assuming temporary rule, I myself have carried for many years since the beginning of the war with Portugal.

We trust you have punished the assassin in a delightfully creative way. Please tell us more about this... I look forward to handling the affairs of state with you until your emperor returns.

I also understand the burden of assuming temporary rule, I myself have carried for many years since the beginning of the war with Portugal.

We trust you have punished the assassin in a delightfully creative way. Please tell us more about this... I look forward to handling the affairs of state with you until your emperor returns.

-Magister Populi, Praetor Maximus and Magister Peditum Aelius

From : Princess Esther of the Piercian Empire
To: General Aelius, Dictator of Rome

Dictator, the man murdered Our mother in front of Our eyes, taking advantage of the trouble he had spread by killing one of Our best generals a few hours before.

Our personal blade was used to remove all of the piercian blood he no longer diserved from him on the spot. His body was thrown into the jungle, left to predators and worms to feed on, as usual for the worst of criminals in Our Empire.

After spending 70 years in Korea Adam Eveston eventualy died. He had lived a good life , the first 20 years sailing on the Enterprise. At the ripe old age of 90 he died a contented man. He had taught the Koreans the language of the Oldonians. He taught them of Oldonians customs and beliefs.

He compared the world for the Koreans through the eyes oOldonia.

                                He died poor but happy.

The continuing journey of the Enterprise, boldly going where no boat had gone before.

The land past the Koreans was a dry land. A large mountain appeared to cut Korea off from the desert lands.

In the desert the Oldonians found good sources of copper.

                                But also many black men.

They came to an opening in the land. Do we go north or continue East.

A turtle was flipped and East they went.

The Voyagers original mission had been to find Yellocacia. But a more urgent task was given to the sailers. Japan was in need of help.

The Ship turned south now instead of west and headed down the Oldonian coast line to join the troops on Jungle patrol.

After some R&R on the beaches the Archers and Axemen were ordered to board the Voyager and continue south.

Meanwhile in Oldonia provinces the Oldonian Womens Hockey team played the Piercian Womens Hockey team and won 84 nil.
