With the greatest of respect, you are meddling, and should shut up.

You are reveiling information about Rome which is not public knowledge, and are still logging in as Rome which is frustrated when it stops me logging in.

If you didn't want to stop playing, then you should have carried on. If you want to carry on now, fine I will had the civ back. But if you haven't the time to play, then accept it and stop meddling.

And lets cut the crap about Rome falling - any fall happened it seems in the period between rulers. Rome has not moved significantly in the score board ranking since I took over.

End of conversation I hope. Can those of us who are playing be left to get on with playing CIV? I am enjoying the in-game arguing about the debts you racked up. They will be solved in-game, by those who are playing - and if that is by a mass invasion of Rome - let them try (and if they do, and succeeed, it will be great fun anyway).

Just a few thoughts here;

@Heraclitus/Rome Situation; Yeah, I love ya' Heraclitus but you're gone now and Rome can do what they'd like with their policies. But the fact that he did post in the OOC Chat thread makes his remarks acceptable, I just agree that since you are now gone he is under no obligation to do anything you planned on doing; whether it was a good thing or not. Although it may be in your interest to carry out Rome's prior agreements, but you aren't obliged to do it.

@Ras/Tech Trade Issue; Ras, I understand what your point is but Cyber is right about this. I am what I like to call a "purist," meaning I think the more rules we have the worse the experience is going to be. But in this case I think Cyber is exactly on the money. Basically under the anything-goes method the top civs pretty much stayed that way, we tried "no tech-brokering" but that really didn't effect anything either (because you could still coordinate research), but with this plan (vouchers) it gives the smaller civs an artificial commodity, which are vouchers. See even if you don't discover a technology you still have 15 vouchers to use to get better tech, if you are a big civ (tech-wise) you lose a voucher for every trade. So vouchers become very valuable and the smaller civs (who rarely trade because they don't have tech) now have something to offer for a good tech. I think its a good idea, but my suggestion would be to leave it at 15 but add one for every civ above 15. Therefore I think we should have had 18 vouchers instead of 15. But the game already started.

Yes i agree with the New Rome, H you gave up your civ, thus he is in control of it now.

You are more than welcome to follow its develp.... but i think you should leave the thinking to the new player.

I think he is doing a great job already: also do not hurry to make any conclusions about his skills.

The onyl reason i am on the points i am is becasue of tech trades.

The in game scroe is too highly linked to techs opbviously.

I cant see how a japanese invasion of my lands would show how good a player the jaspanese is., I am still struggling with barbarians let alone a human player attacking.

If someone wants to show how tough they are , the n attack the largest civ.

First cyber incites Rome to attack portugul now Rome trying to incite Japan to attack me.

At least all the other crap goes on in PMs etc. but this is out in the open.

Its ok Raz i won't attack you. The only way I would is if you accually attack me first. Japan will try not to start wars but even though point wise we are down that doesn't make us push overs.

I think it's a little too early to think about bombing anyone. We don't even have catapults yet to at least lay seige to a city or two.

I know my people struggling (mostly cause i suck) due to the lack of econmy but i am hoping to get to 50% science again soon.

Sorry about that. I logged in one last time to take a look at what happened to the civ after the game, I wasn't expecting you to be in at that precise moment.


It's been about a week since you posted that, and you have probably by now noticed I haven't logged in since and I don't intend to.


Also let me just say that I am most impressed by your diplomatic and story efforts you seem to be a valuable addition to the diplo community and I hope my control freak meddling hasn't put you off in any way. Please accept my sincere apology, like I explained all I wanted was to tie a few loose knots that I intended to tie before handing the civ over but was prevented from doing so.
