        • I still want to know who wante dto charge more per tech than the portugese did.

Dont make the porto player out to be bad here. He gave a better deal than others offered.

I am encoutnering the same obdtinance from leading players.

We all value techs differently i guess. Maybe some are worth more than others. But are any worth more than 1 voucher ???

          • This deal not only affects Japan in a negative way, it also affects Portugal in a possitive way.
It allows Portugal to receive 2 more techs then all other civs.

The 15 voucher system factually enforces all civs to get no more then 15 techs from other civs.
Of course it should be possible to trade vouchers in another way, and I'm not saying that 2:1 trades are against the rules in all cases.
But right now it's the top-civ that trades with the bottom-civ.

In fact that top-civ receives extra tech-trades while that bottom-civ lost 2. That both makes the bottom-civ more backwards and the top-civ more advanced.

It's up to the bottom-civ to be more backwards. Japan is free to trade away it's own future, I have no problems with that. But it also help the top-civ. I don't like that.

Some techs are more valuable then other techs, but the right to trade a tech always stays the right to trade tech. People should seperate that right from that technology.

And don't forget that if you get, say, philosophy for two vouchers, the other civ can use those two vouchers to get fission and robotics later in the game.

That means that you traded the right to trade philosophy for the right to trade both robotics and fission.

I think it's a smart move to get two vouchers from a civ (who obviously don't understands the real value of a voucher). But it's bad form to trade this way with bottom civs. I'd say: clever if you can do it to a top-8 civ (or something).

But like I said, it's not illegal or against the rules. Players that are bothered by this should find an in-game solution for this.

Say that I want to sell my car for 5 billion dollars, does that make me ok because my neighour wants to sell it for 10 billion dollars?

              • Since Inca is not participating anywhere I want to ask everone to:

stop trading anything with the Inca till they start particpating.

I am wondering why even after the game organizer asked people to stop trading with the Inca until they post something here Khmer still goes and trades with them?

People should look at their own sh*t before attacking someone else i guess.

                • Portugal hasn't broken any rules in this game - so I will ask the parties which are attacking my character to stop with this nonsense.

As you can see I have been staying away from this debate. Sadly some never change!

                  • As far as I know did nobody trade with the Inca since I requested everybody to trade with the Inca. Khmer traded with Inca weeks ago.

Regarding the voucher-trade issue. This can apparantly not be solved OOC, bring it IG if you want, let's indeed not continue it here.

I guess you haven't been following last turn. Have a look they both traded techs.

I am curious to see what will happen now when that was specifically requested not to happen.........

Talk about I will do anything just to further my score

                      • i sorry i not know not trade with inca. honest did not read it.

but it disadvantage other civ like khmer. no other civ has any tech i can trade with.

do not agree with my cyber but sorry anyhow.

i sure not all know this restriction either.

                        • Portugal has traded 3 more techs.

                          10-3=7

                          We have 7 left

Next time people start attacking me make sure Portugal was the only civ doing this. Lets not forget that Rome had also 2:1 tech trades.

But no one cared as usual then.

Also i have been trading with many people no one so far had come forward to say anything against me.

Only two guys who I haven't even met in the game still.

I will tell you what is a really poor form, coming here and vocally putting sh*t on me and trying to influence game relations against Portugal.

But of course this isn't your first time, and I do not expect it to be the last!
