    Alright, if anybody cares I have added Henry the Navigator as a leader, I am thinking making his traits expansive and mercantile.

    Next up is Basil II for Byzantium, for him I think I am going to make it aggressive and organized, any thoughts on this?

      I have taken a lot of what Ozzy said into consideration;

      1) Too many new wonders

      2) New Civis throws off balance

      3) New Traits throws off balance

      4) New Techs throw off balance

      And I am going to make a new simple one that isn't a far detatchment from the regular game, the differences I am thinking of for a diplogame mod;

      1) Graphic differences (will not effect gameplay)

      2) New leaders for different civs

      3) Possible new traits to add a new experience, I woudl need people to discuss what these might/should be though.

      4) Inquisitor unit that removes religion (I was thinking of adding a turn or two of disorder too)

      5) Somehow making it more difficult to build space ships, as per Raz' suggestion.

      If I do add a civ it will only be one or two, like Israel for instance.

        I'm looking into creating a voting system based on the UN/Pope mechanism, which could be used to make the current voting system simpler and in-game.

        I could also come up with a method of tying the votes into the scores. With the stock scoring system, it's very hard to get 10,000 point or over, so a simple division by 100 will convert the current scores from say 3000 to 30, and 5000 to 50, etc. which can then be combined with the voting system to produce a final tallied score in-game.

        Once I've got a working prototype, I'll see about integrating it with Capo's mod.

          @MMC; if you could figure that out that would be perfect for this mod I'm working on now.

          As far as the mod. It uses Varietas Delectat as a base, which gives different units, citystyles, and even terrain improvement graphics to the game and makes it more visually dynamic. So that was part of it, just to give each country more specific units, I'll post some screen shots to show you what I am talking about once I put together some nice looking ones.

          I added Kim Jong-il to the game for Korea (obviously) but I've already forgot what traits I gave him. Now I know I should have used Sejong instead of Kim Jong-il but I had a great leaderhead for Kim and I want everything to look good. The idea is to give civilizations that have one leader a second leader with different traits so there's more variety (and thus maybe people will pick these civs more often), but I've made a lost for some new leaders and possible trait combos, so here goes;

          Portugal - Henry the Navigator Financial/Organized, I was considering making it Financial/Creative.

          HRE - Charles V Spiritual/Organized, for this one I don't know what to go with, but Charlemagne is Protective/Imperialist, so I wanted a difference here, otherwise I probably would have given him imperialist.

          Byzantine - Basil II Protective/Expansive, I might go with Aggressive instead of Protective on this one.

          Japan - Hirohito Imperial/Industrious

          Maya - Smoke Jaguar, I don't really know much about him so I'd like a suggestion for his traits

          Inca - Pachacuti Imperial/Aggressive, this one I think has perfect traits, so I don't want to change these.

          Carthage - Dido Creative/Spiritual, we could probably change spiritual.

          Ethiopia - Selassie Spiritual/Protective, I'm not too sure about protective.

          Khmer - Pol Pot Aggressive/Charismatic

          Viking - Harald Hadrata (sp?) Imperial/Expansive

          The following are civs I couldn't think of a new leader for or haven't found a good leaderhead yet; Aztecs (although I have a good LH for this one), Natives (I have good leaderheads, but I don't know who to go with yet), Arabia (I was thinking Mohammed, but there aren't many good leaderheads, plus I don't want to offend muslims), Babylon (I'd do Nebuchadnezzar, but I haven't found an LH I like), Dutch (Cybershy, I'd like a suggestion from you on this one), Mali, Spain (I kinda don't want to do Franco because the LH I have for him looks a lot like Napoleon), Zulu, Sumeria.

          So any suggestions for those civs would be appreciated.

          The next issue I have is the Space Ship situation. I don't think we should remove it from the game, but I do want to make it more difficult to accomplish. Colonizing another planet should take a LOT of work, so I want the game to have this aspect as well. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated for this.

          And good luck to MMC on figuring out how to put a voting system in the game, I am looking forward to that.

          I'll post some screens later on.

            BTW CS, I assume you haven't looked at it yet but I am working on another mod for Diplogames (this one has no changes to traits, wonders, civics et cetera as per Ozzy's suggestions) but what I wanted to do was add a second leader to the civs with only one leader. One of them is the Dutch and I wanted to know if you had any good suggestions for a second Dutch leader and his traits. I don't know if you are aware offhand, but Willem's traits are Creative/Financial. It isn't totally necessary that the traits of whatever leader you suggest matches his/her personality (although it would be better if they do). I giving these countries secondary leaders so there are more trait combos to choose from in different civs so they get used more often. So if you've got an idea for a leader and a good trait combo that isn't Creative/Financial (you could use one of those again I guess bud I'd prefer two totaly different ones) that would be good.

            And if you want to check the Possible Diplogame Mod thread you can see the other ones I've come up with.

            I know this doesn't belong here, so you can get rid of it after you read it. But I wanted your help with this one.

              I'd say: Queen Wilhelmina
              Spiritual / Charismatic

              There's a leaderhead for her in the Route to War mod already. (She was our queen during WWII)

              Kim Jong-il

              May I suggest Kim Il-Sung instead?
              Kim Jong-Il is only 'the son' of the Great Leader.
              Kim Il-Sung is still the president of NK (despite his dead in 1994). NK bases their year-counting on his birth, etc. etc.

                I would have made it Sejong actually but I had a FANTASTIC leaderhead of Kim Jong-il. I'll look into it though.

                I'll try and find that Wilhelmina leaderhead if I can, I'm always happy to add more female leaders if possible, there just aren't that many LHs out there.

                Now we've just got to worry about the Spaceship thing. And as far as the inquisitor goes; should I add a few turns of disorder when you use one? Because the one I have now doesn't give disorder.

                  Here's a picture of the leaderheads/leaders I've added so far. You can probably tell who they are, but in the event that you can not, clockwise from the top left; Pol Pot (Khmer), Charles V (HRE), Kim Jong-il (Korea), and Henry the Navigator (Portugal).

                  I'll post some screen shots of the images, cities, and the new flags/colors I've given certain countries.

                      Here's another one. Note the color/flag changes I have made. BTW the units are, and this includes the post above, Viking spearmen, Japanese Swordsmen and Ninja (axemen), Roman Elephants, Arab swordsmen.

                          Alright this will be the last one, but even the American Riflemen have been changed to match their cavalry, also note the Native American units (Cavalry and Grenadiers) as well as the new flag/colors I gave them. I added Tecumseh as a leader to the Native Americans. I was originally going to do Geronimo but he is already in the game as a great general.

                            I haven't put in the Inquisitor yet otherwise I'd let people test it out. I still have a bunch of leaders to add but its pretty cool having these unique units available and its lead to me playing a lot more civ with a lot of different countries. So watch out everyone BtP players, I'm gettin better!

                            If you just want to check out the mod anyway I can e-mail it to you if you PM me.

                                I cant really find a good second leader for the Zulu, there are people out there but I can't find a good leaderhead that looks like any of them. Which sucks, but I was considering renaming them the Bantu and having Nelson Mandela as their second leader. That way it won't be as ethnically incorrect. What do you guys think?

                                I think it would provide a good difference to have a guy like Nelson Mandela as opposed to a guy like Shaka in the game.
