I don't mind the AI taking over for a short while, but I am not letting it start... I'll try and arrange a sub. Ahem, if this was galciv you could just download civ4, and then install BtS from your CD. But since this isn't GalCiv downloading civ 4 and then installing BtS from your CD would be illegal, despite you having purchased a legitimate copy.

Fairness?? If the Game is played in diplo style it will be fair no matter who palys, or even if the AI is used for a period. That is the beauty of "true" Diplo. The only reason to be concerned about fairness is that someone thinks that the AI will cause them to not win, due to a bad start.

I don't hate bad starts be cause it's harder to win... in fact I rarely win without a late-game coup anyway.
