Well, not exactly. A human took your civ for a few turns but had to leave (just got us started as we couldn't find a sub). So we had to make peace. You lost no units but still have Delft.

Everyone thought I wanted peace but for a week I was preparing for your defeat and now denied it

      Otts attacked France.

We really missed you actually - you add a lot of Chemistry to the game so don't fall asleep ever again!

        • Seems like you guys had a fun session could someone send the last save to all of us who had to be subbed for or who where not there for the game? I think it was me, Mali and Mongolia.

I would like to thank Vamgelus for a good job as a sub in very adverse conditions!

          • Good session - around 20 turns.

MUCH thanks to the 3 1/2 subs - they did a great work.

              I wouldn't call that a good session.

80 or 90 turns is a good session and 40 or 60 is an ok session.

Like I said you did a good job.

I never expected a sneak attack on France, considering what a suprise this is to me I'm glad you managed to hold on against that powerfull and advanced civ.

                  • I would like to thank the subs, Lz, who helped us startup, and also Internal Shadow and agreatagent for playing for three hours.

It might be that the turns were slower because they were not informed well enough of the civs they took, and had no instructions for what to do.

                    Thanks Guys!

                    • Listen, turn length is not a problem. Many of my turns are quick, some are very slow. Let's not pressurise anyone on this. I made a few mistakes because of 'turn'

And as Nols said the subs needed time to learn their civs.

You see, it's not about quickly getting through turns - that's a normal civ game I guess.

It's about the dimension of what diplo adds to the basic gameplay and this can add extra time (mostly thought through during the week withsecret correspondence but in game stuff needs to be checked particularly unit positions)

                      • Players, I have phoned missing folks in the past, as I have a list of phone numbers from past games.

If you would not want a call, then its ok, but if you DO want me to phone and wake you up, please message me with your phone number.

I have a really cool international package and can talk to you for an hour for about the cost of a mcDonalds hamburger. Sometimes i just ring enough to wake you up, so let me know the number and instructions on how long to try to get you.

PM the info to me in here.

such a silly thing too. usually I nap on the couch, where I don't sleep too well and have no trouble waking for the game. but yesterday I went to bed, and that was it. damned ikea mattress.

and your machine guns will find themselves useless against Mongolian warskills. or should I say numbers....
