So ozzy when do you think you can start the map?

5 example maps, as you can see there are many islands, and most connect to each other. If Ozzy can fill in the missing links (maybe 4 or 5 extra 1-tile islands will do it) then it's an excellent map with multiple continents, but 100% contact among all civs, many possibilities for colonizations, without the best 2-4 civs getting all the good spots.

The aim is to get fair land starts for everyone i guess?

I "ditto" this too. Haven't finished a game yet (my 1st game as the Dutch on epic was stopped when every single civ (7) delcare war on me! )

With that in mind, anybody want to that option where you get to pick the reglion instead of always Hinduism on Polytheism, Jews on Monotheism?

Two advantages, Toni. (1) You don't always get exactly the same religions dominating the map; (2) Its a LOT harder to tell what techs players have reached base on what religions they found. Seriously, it is soooo cool!

I'm gonna put another thing to the vote... me.


I was musing about joining the hotwXI, but the timeslot is still bad for me, though workable.

I was wondering though if it would be possible to move it earlier since we dont have to worry about kuno in this game. iirc him getting up dead early was one of the reasons we ended up with that timeslot. lot's of new players, not sure how they feel about it, but for my taste moving the game a few hours back OR forward would make me very very keen.


there is also another slight hitch, so I am actually considering delaying my reentry to the diploscene. in early october I'm going on vacation, around the world, for nearly 3 months. i'll be going to australia, new zealand, canada and the US. with due likelyhood, my accessibility will obviously not be top notch then.



here's what I'd like to try. Provided you start on the 31st of july (or the coming friday), I would play the first 8-10 sessions, AND provided we're not done by then, someone else could take over my civ. I usually tend to do respectably so that shouldnt be a problem.

I would vote blank on all issues in order to not make anything more difficult, and I will take ANY starting position.

Finally, dont consider my feelings on this, being this late I have no expectation that I will get in. If you think it's a bad idea, say so. If not, it is always a pleasure to play with you guys (and hopefully the same for those of you I have yet to play with )
