I really do not want to wait till Sep! Now that we are done with the old one, what will we do fridays Maybe i will practice BTS, get myself rdy for the new challenge.

I guess that this is the list of players. Not sure if Kuno will participate, I think Deity said that he would.

Let's start picking civilizations, we start with the newbiews, then from worst to best.
I suggest we pick civs in this order:

NB: This is only a suggestion!! don't start picking yet, let's wait at least till some more confirm that this order is correct

I suggest we play on the "Big and small" map, a new Beyond the Sword map.
It's a VERY INTERESTING map!
I've never had a tundra start with it.

It generates a couple of continents (3-5), you can chose these to be snaky continents (really nice!) and have islands mixed in between the continents.

It really comes with awesome naval possibilities (because of all the islands) and the continents are really interesting!

If we take a huge map with 11 civs, that would be awesome! Surely because we'll all have quite some room for a # of cities, which 'll make wars more interesting, since losing 2-4 cities isn't that bad (as if you have only 6 cities)

The change for Carthage/America/england positions (as in HOTW8) will be small, and if someone is in such a position, there are always the islands.

Thus: all pick up BtS asap and check it out.
If all players want to start picking up civs ASAP then I can start to create some maps before I leave for vacation.

The idea is:
- I create 10 maps
- you open all maps with ONLY your civ (trust is required here! If we can't trust each other, a diplogame is useless)
- you rank all maps from 1-10, and you can veto up to 2 maps
- we calculate the most popular map, and pick it.

that avoids restarts because the initial positions of people is pathetic. (ie. 2 civs overlap each other immediately, or someone is in the desert/tundra/whatever)

If you veta a civ, you're required to post a screenshot!

You're only allowed to process 3 turns to check a bit further then the initial boundaries of your capital.

I am new to this web and do nto understnad much of its functions, so please if someone could snd me a messege telling me how to sign up for the upcoming HOTW i would be very happy
