Ok, i'll see how fast I can finish my chores. We're driving our daughter back to college tomorrow so it's kind of hectic. but it shouldn't take too long.

If there is a downloaded install program separate from steam (ie a setup.exe) you might have your 3.02 still...

This is why I like D2D by the way, they don't force updates on you

Actually, you could try joining a game and see if it lets you. Or do a temporary register hack to see if that fixes things (make the game think you have 3.02) My understanding is the 3.03 update doesn't actually have any gameplay changes in it, just directx stuff.

3.03 is currently available for D2D and Steam, but not boxed version. That's the issue. My guess is somebody miscommunicated when it should be released... i'd blame steam, but D2D has it available too so unlikely it's the same mistake by both companies...
