ok I tried to load it in direct IP and it won't let me launch until everyone is there which obviously everyone isn't going to be there so...

Did you check ready?

Go Mutiplayer => Direct IP Connection => Load game save => press OK => pick your civ and Launch

I just did that and it works for me!!

I'm surprised that would work... what IP are you entering???

I just go multiplayer, like in gamespy. One of the options in the gamespy lobby is to load a game. Just click on that then load the save.

It will go to the player dropping screen.... for everyone since it is just you. Just click continue and save.

You dont use an IP, you "Load game"

OK desktop is clean of dust , just needed a bit of clean up, ati was running at 110C on civ no wonder the shut downs, poor heated pc. Now back to the cool zones so i will be rdy for friday! Big screen is aways better!

hey guys, if you need a sub I might be up for it. but I'm not sure if my connection is properly configured cause I've moved to another house and I havent made any router configs. anyway, just wanted to stop by to see how you all were doing, and offer my services. sorry for not being more responsive (saw some pm's that I'd missed) earlier.

I doubt I'll be returning full scale to diplogames anytime soon, but I wouldnt mind getting a little more involved. and if there's ever a risk of diplogames being played at another time then I might even request a lifting of my ban.

But for some strange reason we have a group of players now that all show up every week
Last week we played without subs and AI's and tonight that may be the same!!!!!

We'll surely reconsider your ban for any future game
And I still hope as well that the gametime may be a little bit (2 hours) earlier then now! But I'm afraid that some Asians disagree with that (Kuno? )

understandable. but for me the late night fridays work badly, so maybe we could arrange a diplogame based on a different play time excluding one of the time zone areas. certainly there are enough people now to run multiple diplogames without anyone being left out? maybe I should make a thread about it...
