    • lol, forgot that pleading the 5th is an american thing....

Means pleading the 5th amendment to the constitution of the united states.

The 5th amendment protects people from self incrimidation.

        • I am ok with that as well since it will give pin more time to deal with his legal situation. As my sister was recetnly accused and convicted (quite rightly) of driving drunk I have some experience of how time consuming that stuff can be.

          • Well, I have no principal problem with skipping sessions, but we must be aware that every skipped session enlarges the possibility that the game is totally abandoned.

If sessions are skipped it's more difficult to not skip other future sessions. ie. if in 3 weeks other players can't play they'll say: "We skipped for Pinchak and Kuno, why don't we skip for us now?" and the more you skip, the more eager people are to plan other activities on friday nights. The sooner people lose interest in the game.

For HOTW VII we only skipped the last session once, since we felt that all key players must participate in the last session.

Therefor I am willing to skip if the majority wants to skip, but I honestly prefer playing. Not because I don't want to be nice towards Kuno and Pinchak, but just because I think that's the best for the game. If Kuno and Pinchak can find good subs (LzPrst is one of them, Deity Dude may want to join us as well again) there's not much to lose for them.

More often than not, at least in the American justice system it is the other way around.

If you admit guilt, sometimes they let you slide (plea bargan). If you fight the charges, and lose, they generally throw the book at you.

American justice revolves around the plea bargan, how good a lawyer you have determines how good of a bargan you get.

I don't know if you have the show "Law and Order" in europe, but if you do just watch a few episodes to see how American justice really functions.

                  • I know how the american law system works, and eventhough I'm quite pro america, I think it stinks. So does jury justice.
But now just tell us what you did!

We won't punish you in game context. We will probably do it OOC though

Sorry, it would be unconstitutional for me to do so.

                        • I'm against skipping a session.

I may not be able to play from the 18/19th May - subject to the vagueries of a travellers Internet connections... At this stage I have to assume I can't play from this date until late June... sorry.
