Still waiting for a few people that said they'd show and should be here soon.
Any discussion of the end turn rule would be appreciated.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Yes, it would. Looks like a good game brewing for tonight. Barono really wanted to play and he's due soon, We'll wait to the top of the hour, and see who makes it. I send the PMs when we get a little closer. IT's makes it easier to chat while we wait for stragglers. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

The rule Rah created won;t work either, because someone could just declare war with 1 second left and then the turn will end automatically. So then you create a rule saying you can't declare war win less than X seconds remaining on the clock, and then the person who wants to declare war is getting screwed over because he has alot of different things to look over in his empire which he has to leave for the course of the war because he has to look after his stack...just play with the 9 second double move rule that is hard coded. And pay attention. You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

I like the sound of the house rule for declaring war. Extra points if people make a declaration to the world in a suitably bombastic manner. I personally like screaming, "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!!" by attacking the Christian Holy City, but that's just me
(I'll need a PM this time, it's been a while since I joined a game with you guys)
Krill, we don't play with a timer (Do we???), so your concern is unfounded...

unless he gets folks together faster.
You really should get an ICQ or some other IM client ... people have been left behind by PMs ... but folks with IM clients seldom do.
We usually play pickup games at something faster than epic rate ... usually it gets obvious who is going to win sometime before the industrial age.
