Rah's saturday game II

Ours are pretty cut throat as well. And I also wasn't aware you were trying to contact me. We would love to have welcomed you to the alliance since Dom and MD were in cruise control.

Snoop and I had planned on splitting DD up... because as usual, he spent the early part of the game building tempting targets, and no military to defend them. Unfortunately MD moved in a few turns before us, then managed to piss both of us off. We were then dedicated to taking him down a notch. MD pulled a fast one on me... granted totally legal... I made the required noise, and then dedicated myself to getting revenge. I just want people to know that if they screw with me, there will be a price to pay.

But again... it's Civ... That's what I expect. I have no problem with it and won't hold it against him. However, I did my best to pay the "favor" back. I did whatever I could to make sure he wasn't going to win the game.
That's what people should expect from me.

I was however a tad amused when he claimed Snoopy was not being honorable even though he stayed within the rules. Especially after what he had pulled on me

You guys mentioned something about wating a certain amount of time before moving units?

Would someone mind spelling out that rule here. Wouldn't want to be accused of cheating.

Since I don't play all the time, I'm not the preson to ask. My understanding is that if you are the last to move in the turn (ie, everybody else has ended their turn as shown by the star) you must wait 9 seconds ( or some amount of time) before you move your units the following turn in an attack situation. I'm probably wrong, so ask somebody who plays every week

It's a built-in game mechanic, not a gentleman's rule. Basically a unit can't move twice within a 9s timeframe.

Typically 7pm EST (I guess that's midnight for you). But we've started earlier and later too.

I never knew about that 9 second rule before- sounds very easily exploited though, especially if you've got an ally willing to wait to end the turn until after you've done your moves!

Anyway, am ready amd willing for a good long game tonight, it's been a while

It usually is, and although the others don't mind waiting a bit, 11 is usually too late; plus in this case I'd really request that we start earlier rather than later, cos the clocks over here in England go forward tonight so I'm laready losing an hour!

We could clear up all the complaining if we just instituted a rule that if you declare war, you can't end your turn (that you declared war on only) till the person that you declared on says it's ok. A simple solution.
