There is no particular set of RAH rules if that's what you're asking. We can thank the designers for a cleaner game that lacks dozens of "cheats"
We do play random civs, with map sizes determined by number of players. We try to give ourselves a little room but not too much. We do restart if two civs start too close. (caps less than 6 squares apart)
We also play no tech trading.
