  • Wang Yung was the Choson's trade master and general advisor to Tan-gun II. He screened most of the political material so that Tan-gun II could hold the high moral ground and operate in a truly altruistic manner. Wang Yung was totally loyal to Tan-gun II.

    ---

Two offers had been received regarding the new world.

    ---

    1) One in private. This nation is asked to openly declare its request for all people's to see. This request has much merit, although the offer of help to colonise the new world is not absolutely necessary at this stage. And note that the Choson still have one out of two exploring expeditions still underway.

However, a temporary gift by you of three soldier units may board our galleon and will be gifted back when stationed in a new native city. This allows you to look out for your own defence. Note that Tan-gun is insistent on limited military operations. The city we have so far captrured was met with small resistance with most of the population freely joining our Buddhist culture - although missionaries are yet to arrive.

    ---

    2) The Bulgarian offer is a transparent trade of gold for a galleon, terms to be agreed.

This is why Tan-gun II stayed out of such matters. He detested materialism but appreciated Wang Yung's trade acievements and the resultant well-being for the Choson people. Tan-gun II would probably just give them the galleon.

However, Wang Yung weighed up the pros and cons of such deals:

Pros: Bulgarians friendly, love of the sea and exploration.

Cons: Bulgarians already have as many cities as the Choson and are war-like, having just conquered the Romans and acquiring new lands already. The Bulgarians seemed to be in a trade bloc with the Arabs and the English and vaguely suggested deals with the Choson in the past have not come to fruition.

This deal may not happen immediately as other nations with more severe population pressures may be ahead of the queue.

But Wang Yung liked the Bulgarians and is prepared to talk more, particularly as to the amount of gold that may be on offer.

One galleon represents the pinnacle of a massive research line and must have a high value.

    ---

Tan-gun II would despair at the political basis of such dealings. He received only a brief summary of Wang Yung's processes.
"Old age and skill will overcome youth and treachery. "

    • Greetings to Wang, trade master and general advisor to Tan-gun II.

We, the Indians, do agree to your terms as described in your public letter above. War is not the ground on which India has been build. We are a phylosophical and religious nation. We prefer it to free our young people to think in our holy shrines. It would be a waste to let them die on the battlefield.

We are very eager to bring the good news of Krishna to the new world. We have called the northern Islan "Tan", in honor of Tan Gun II, leader of the Choson.

It is our wish to prevent war to be brought to Tan or any other of the islands of the New World. There has been enough war on Terra lately. We do pitty the genocide on the Romans, despite the fact that the Romans declared war on us in their struggle for life. We are happy to give home to the many Roman refugees though our territory is limited and we cannot give a home to that many people.

Therefor your offer to transport 3 of our soldiers to Tan is greatly appreciated!

      • The reign of Lala Lajpat Rai

From the moment on that Lala Lajpat Rai became the leader of the Indians, till the moment he was crowned king, shortly before he vanished, there was peace in India. Except for the cultural conversion of Alexandria and the short declarance of war from the Romans, no exceptional things happened in India.

The cultural conversion of Alexandria was the climax of Lala Lajpat Rai reign. The people of Alexandria were in awe of the Indian culture. The Krishnian Shrine, the Hindu Shrine, the National Epic and the Great Library of Krishnai had spread there culture through the borders of Egypt to the great city of Alexandria.

One day, Nolan, Empress of the Egyptians, came to Lala Lajpat Rai and asked to talk about the status of Alexandria. The friendship between Egypt and India is old and deep. Nolan, known as a wise leader among the Indians, knew that the city of Alexandria couldn't be saved for the Egyptians. Egypt couldn't cover the expensives anymore and understood that in their hearts the people of Alexandria concidered themselves to be Indian.

In exchange Lala Lajpat Rai agreed to help a group of settlers to settle a new city for the Egyptians, near their capital, near the ocean on the west, where crabs could be harvested from the sea.

Soon after Alexandria become Indian the Krishnian faith was spread there by Indian missionaries.
not only in Alexandria this faith was spread by also in Jerusalem. Indian missionaries spread the message of Krishna among many people of Terra. A deal was made with the Arabs to spread the Indian religions in the Arabian cities. Soon Krishnianity, a religion of peace, would cover Terra.

But there was more to come! The Choson leader, Tan Gun II, offered the Indians to bring them to the new World, to the island Tan, to spread Krishnianity overthere. The offer was gladly accepted by Asoka, prince of India.

The war with the Romans was short. For years Lala Lajpat Rai requested the Bulgarians to stop their genocide on innocent roman civilians. But the Bulgarians did not listen and razed many Roman cities and conquered others. The large Bulgarian presence of Bulgaria in the South-West of terra lies as a cloud of doom over Terra. The aggressive culture of Bulgaria scares the Indians.

Lala Lajpat Rai offered Roman refugees to come to India, and many did so. Eventhough many civilizations declared war to Rome, hoping to gain themselves some ground, India stayed friendly to the Romans. Shortly before the last city of Rome had fallen the Romans declared war to the Indians nevertheless. One of the last leaders of Rome was fallen into madness and couldn't see the difference between friend and enemy.

Lala Lajpat Rai besieged his horse and ride to Rome to talk to the Roman leaders about this new situation of war, hoping he could establish peace again. Nothing was ever be heard from Lala Lajpat Rai after this. His son, Asoka, rules India in the name of his father. But he is worried and calls upon the Bulgarian to tell what happened to his father.

Did the Bulgarians find Lala Lajpat Rai in the ashes of the cities they razed? Or was he still alive when they entered the city? Perhaps they have imprisoned Lala Lajpat Rai because they hold him to be a roman?

Asoka hoped for the best but feared for the worst.
He knew the reputation of the Bulgarians.
He sat on the throne of his father in Rho-Delhi and wheaped. "Why do I have to rule when I'm not ready yet. Why do the gods ask me to leave my childhood while I'm not ready for maturity? My father, my father, come back and teach me! Let your wisdom cover me and let your love be my breath and your strenght be my warmth."

        • An open letter to Tan-gun II of Choson

Tzar Simeon of the Bulgarians has been informed by your rush and calculative trade decision. We regret to inform you that relationships between out two nations are growing cold. The Tzar was deeply hurt to hear his kingdom called a war-like. Your pessimism towards the so called trading block u mention has further insulted our Tsar. Our trade partners are not of your concerns and should no be used to downgrade our past commitments and negotiations with you. Seeing that u have demoted our friendship to a secondary one has damaged even further our hard work of bringing our two civilizations closer.

            2) With such cultural pressure between the Celts and Arabs it may be time to negotiate the release of Vienne to the Arabs, since Sheba's culture is dominating and the two cities are far too close by. If such a deal was negotiated between the Celts and Arabs the Choson would provide technology and other sweeteners to the Celts if necessary.

            3) The Arab city of Medina is under intense cultural pressure from the Celtic city of Edoras and the Choson city of Paekche. Would the Arabs be interested in a new world city plus additional gifts in return for ceding Medina to the Celts? This offer may be used in conjunction with the offer at item 2 above?

            4) To the other great nations of Terra. Although Astronomy can not be gifted due to diplomatic rules and agreements the Choson would like to consider other offers whereby new world cities and or the gifting of galleons could yield benefits for all parties.

            ---

The primary diplomatic aim of the Choson, and in particular Tan-gun II, is to achieve a peaceful and religious settlement of the new world at the same time as easing tensions and population pressures in the old world.

Note that very limited settlement of the new world by the Choson has actually occurred to date but the ability to acquire up to 5 or 6 new world cities through diplomatic and religious means is within Tan-gun's grasp in a short space of time. However, such expansion of native cultures into new world nations will only occur if the nations of Terra are interested in offers to negotiate for such acquisitions

Open letter to our friends the Choson
From Sirrius Tegerix of the Celts

After years of regency from a Celtic civil servant, a mew King holds his hand over the Celtic souls: King Sirrius Tegerix!

We great the Kushren of the North, the vast Arabic tribes of the west and the magnificent Choson of the south.

You are both wise and also men of the World, Choson! The Celts bow to your lasting wisdom.

If we give our settlement of Vienne to the Arabs, they will be next door to our capital, may Buddha and Choson protect us!

Yet we see that this is the wisest course but only if all criteria are met as the wise Choson have outlined!

Arabs, Celts and Choson have a job to do if this transaction will be successful.

We ask that the Arabs respond.

            • The mission of Prophet Muhammad was to restore the worship of the One True God, the creator and sustainer of the universe, as taught by Prophet Abraham and all Prophets of God, and to demonstrate and complete the laws of moral, ethical, legal, and social conduct and all other matters of significance for the humanity at large.

The first few people who followed this message were: his cousin Ali, his servant Zayd ibn Harithah, his friend Abu Bakr and his wife and daughters. They accepted Islam by testifying that:

"There is no Deity (worthy of worship) except Allah (The One True God) and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."

In the first three years of his mission forty people (men and women) accepted Islam. The Prophet was directed by a recent revelation to start preaching Islam to everyone. He then began to recite revelations to people in public and invite them to Islam. The Quraish, leaders of Mecca, took his preaching with hostility. Initially, they tried to bribe him with money and power including an offer to make him king if he were to abandon his message. His uncle tried to persuade the Prophet to stop preaching but the Prophet said: "O uncle, if they were to put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left hand to stop me from preaching Islam, I would never stop. I will keep preaching until Allah makes Islam prevail or I die."

The Quraish began to persecute Muslims by beating, torture and boycott of their businesses. Those who were weak, poor or slaves were publicly tortured. The Prophet was publicly ridiculed and humiliated including frequent throwing of filth on him in the street and while he prayed in the Kaaba.

When the persecution became unbearable for most Muslims, the Prophet advised them in the fifth year of his mission to emigrate to Ethiopia where Ashabah was the ruler.

The Quraish then made life even more difficult for the Prophet by implementing total ban on contact with the Prophet’s family. The effects of the three-year boycott left the Prophet with more personal sorrow when he lost his beloved wife Khadijah and uncle Abu Talib soon after the ban was lifted.

Despite the lifting of the ban, Mecca was not safe for Muhammad and his followers, so together with his dear friend Abu Bakr, the entire Muslim community emigrated to Medina the Ethiopian port city far to the east.

To insure the peace and tranquility, the Prophet proposed a treaty defining terms of conduct for all inhabitants of Medina. It was ratified by all - Muslims, non-Muslim Arabs and Jews. After his emigration to Medina, the enemies of Islam increased their assault from all sides. The Battles of Badr, Uhud and Trench were fought near or around Medina. In these battles, the nonbelievers with encouragement from Jews and other Arabian tribes attacked the Prophet and Muslim community. The Muslims while defending their city and religion lost many men but ultimately were victorious.

The Prophet, after enduring many attacks, marched to Mecca with an army consisting of three thousand Muslims of Medina and Muslims from other Arab communities that joined him on the way totaling ten thousand Muslims. The army entered Mecca without fighting and the Prophet went directly to the Kaaba. The Prophet destroyed the pagan idols that had been placed in the Kaaba. Trinkets of Krishna, Buddha, and Confucius were removed, and the Kaaba was restored to its pristine status for the worship of One True God (as built by Prophets Abraham and Ishmael).

The people of the city expected general slaughter in view of their persecution and torture of Muslims for the past twenty years. While standing by the Kaaba, the Prophet promised clemency for the Meccans, stating: "O Quraish, what do you think that I am about to do with you?" They replied, "Good. You are a noble brother, son of a noble brother." The Prophet forgave them all saying:

"I will treat you as Prophet Yousuf (Joseph) treated his brothers. There is no reproach against you. Go to your homes, and you are all free."

The people of Mecca then accepted Islam including the staunch enemies of the Prophet.

              • Despite these successes, Islam was little more than a small cult at this point with just a few hundred followers, mostly in Mecca and Medina. It would be years yet until the faith grew enough to be considered a world religion. With the Arabs still divided into warring tribes, even Arabia had yet to fully embrace and unite under an Islamic banner. But that day will come.

Muhammad, Abu Bakr and all their followers would not rest until the truth of the One True God, Allah, was spread and adopted by all corners of Terra.

With Arabia still divided, there is simply no one to respond to diplomatic overtures made by the Celts, Choson, and others.

                • An open letter to Haakon the venerable and Glohithia of England.

The Bulgarian desire that you and the English resolve your differences in a peaceful way. We think our world had enough of bloody conflicts in recent years, we wish that a compromise be made and old history be forgotten. We all can live in peace if we work hard enough to resolve our differences; diplomacy is the only solution to this northern conflict. We again beg both sides to cool their tensions and stay on the peace path the right path. We will condemn the side which resolves to aggression and will cut off all diplomatic relationship with it.

                  • Puzzling over the letter from Simeon of Bulgaria Haakon turns to his advisor scribe on foreign relations.

"Tell me scribe, do we even have a diplomatic relationship with Bulgaria?"

"Yes mylord. Dont you remember the trade agreement and the wool for butter deal? It was carefully negotiated for years between our traders and their commerce houses."

Oh, yes. Right. I must be getting old... How much does our current trade rights with Bulgaria earn us?

-Ehem, 21 million gold crowns mylord.

That much? Impressive. Tell me, what relationship does Bulgaria have with England?

-Rather extensive from what I gather. Several resource agreements, the exact amount is unknown to us, but it may be considerable. England will very likely never dare move against us now that Bulgaria has interfered.

Hmmm. Pity, some of my warriors were spoiling for a war. Oh well. Tell our men that the King has no need of them and that they may seek service elsewhere.

                    -Pardon me sir?

Our troops cannot sit at home growing fat on the Kings table earning no keep in turn. Send them out to gather some gold elsewhere. The Inca and the Chinese might be interested in hiring some Viking Royal Guards. Oden knows noone can compare to our Beserkers in battle, let them get some foreign gold into my coffers if I have no use for them.

-I... I'll have it arranged mylord.

Letter to the Empire of China
                    CC: Incan Empire

The Vikings wish to offer you the limited service of some of our finest warriors. They can serve as Royal Guards, Shock troops, deterrence in border regions and even sailors if the need arises. A suitable price and details of service can be negotiated upon interest.

Your friends of the northlands, the Vikings.

                    • A messenger comes bursting into the throne room.

                      -My lord! King Haakon!

                      What is it...

-The Arabs have declared that all nations of the world must convert to Islam, a newly founded religion, and Vassalize themselves to its prophet muhammad. The Celts whom we have had some contact with have surrendered and converted, becoming slaves. The Koreans are fighting to maintain their freedom, we do not know, but stories of battles involving hundreds of thousands of soldiers, with vast deaths on both sides are spreading. We dont know if the Koreans can hold their ground, but if they cant....

                      The ancient man, centuries old, older than any of his fathers or predecessors, sits upon the goldglimmering wooden throne in the Long Hall. His eyes droop and he leans wearily to one side. His breathing is heavy and slow. But as the messenger arrives, fire bursts from his eyes and he rises staunchly and with power and grace, something he has not done without help for decades. He listens intently to the message, then seizes his arrow quiver and speaks in a rattling broken voice;

Tell the foreigners that War-Arrow will soon fly.

His court mumbles and wonders, what foreigners does he mean, a few mutter that the King's last days must finally be at hand, this is but the final burst of life before death. It is whispered, as it has been before that he should have had the sense to start a war and die in it long before he came to this age anyway. He has outlived his heirs, he has outlived their children, he has so many children's children's children that the succession will be a massacre as the different houses fight over the throne. But the King just wont die. Foreigners they scoff, there are none of importance here, only a few traders in the west by the lighthouse. Not only is he older than the great oak trees in the forest, but he has gone mad as well. Poor times await the Viking empire it is said.

At that very moment the muttering dies down a herald enters and shouts loudly. Asoka of the Indians has travelled far and long to come to seek the King of the Vikings. The Carthagian representatives have also requested a meeting and Chinese, Egyptian and English diplomats have arrived as well. They are all demanding audiences, meetings and diplomatic dealings.

The Long Hall falls deadly silent. The discontended noblemen stare with disbelief at eachother. The King draws a deep breath and announces in a rasped and stumbling voice:

I know. I have sensed it, a great concern draws all these great people here. I have had dreams of the future. Oden has shown me the futures of the world. And it is these visions that our friends from afar and distant lands have come to discuss.

Tell them to meet at the King's Rivervalley house on the eastern slopes of the city at first light tomorrow.

((if anyone of the nations mentioned doesnt want to be in this meeting say so and I'll remove them from the post before the meeting starts))

Dear leaders of the free nations of Terra,
to you I address this letter!

I address it to the Egyptians, our brothers!
It is addressed to the Chinese, our friends.
To the Choson, whoms knowledge impresses us!
Tot he Vikings, the wise people of Terra.
To the English, known for their wealth.
To the Kushrens, we are in awe of your culture!
To the Bulgarians, religious at heart.
To the Carthagians, who are small though strong.
To the Incans, we admire your strenght!
And to the free people of the Celts who have fled from their country in these dark times of war.

I call upon you, free people of Terra, to not give in to the hate of Islam. If Islam is the faith of war and hate, Krishnianity is the faith of love and peace. I call upon all nations of Terra who want to be free. I call upon all people of the world who want to live in peace. I call upon all mankind who want to see their sons and their doughters to grow up in a world of love!

I call upon you, adopt Krishnianity in protest against the massacres of Islam. Let's speak with one mouth in these times of horror. Let us show that Krishna is the answer to the questions raised by Muhammed. That Krishnianity can unite people while Islam divides them. Let's spread the message of Krishnianity over Terra to protest in peace!

So that the people of Arabia will know that the citizen of Terra have found peace, everywhere, but in Arabia.

                          • The meeting at the forest

Welcome to all of you who have travelled long and far, and to our neighbours who have come to our house.

We are gathered here today to discuss a great threat to the free Kingdoms of the west. You all know of what I speak. The growing threat of the eastern darkness. We have heard the stories. The rumours. They are rumours no longer. The arabs have exploded forth from their lands like a great swarm of locusts, devouring all in their path. The Celts of the east were defeated within months and now serve the arabs as slaves. They bow down to the arab god, the one who gazes and supposedly sees all. Their one god seeks to drive out and crush the many gods of our lands. The arabs have no respect for our faiths or our traditions. They wish to force their ways on all people of the world.

The peaceful Koreans are forced to fight for their lives. We have spoken with their sailors who despair at their plight. By the blood of Korea are our homes safe. They fight with great honor, but against the darkness of arabia their courage may not be enough. If the Koreans should fail in the defence of their nation....

They will come here next... I have seen this vision in my nightmares. Hordes and hordes of swarthy savages, bloodthirsty monsters riding strange mounts conquering the empires of the west, one at a time until nothing remains free under the sun. All will hail the black stone of mecca and the prophet who besits its foul throne. Despair will reign in the hearts of all people of the west as our freedoms are torn from us and we fall under the domination of the allconsuming arab god and his demonic servant.

But this is merely a warning! Hope remains! Friends, you have gathered here by seemingly chance, but the gods do not believe in chance, nor do I. This enemy is a threat to us and as such we must rise to meet it. No longer can we afford to be disunited, squabbling over ancient wrongs and grudges. England and Carthage have laid aside their generational grudges for they recognize the common threat.

We must bind together and amass a great host. An army of all free people of the West. And we must march on the western border of the arabs. Here we must make our stand. A battle of proportions such as has never been imagined. If we move now we can halt the evil of the east. If we hesitate, all our lands will fall, one after another.

Yet there is a secondary threat. The Bulgarians have long been allies of the Arabs, and if we are to wage war on the arabs, the bulgarians will likely march their armies against us. Their expansion has been a concern to many of you. We must be prepared to challenge the two mightiest empires in the world. Only if we ally together can we succeed in this endeavour. Asoka's suggestion would perhaps work against a foe that respected honesty, strength and the freedom of people. But the Arab prophet dominates his own people with an iron fist and his relentless attacks upon the Koreans, who with their buddhist ideals of peace have not been spared or even been given room for coexistance. Only the destruction of all other faiths will please the demon prophet. A common faith might show the Arabs that we stand together, but they care not for the faith of others. They will force upon us their cruel beliefs and all our gods, the gods and spirits of our lands will wither and die. The Vikings will not allow this to happen. We will march on Arabia even if we march alone.

Now speak my friends. Announce your intentions and your hopes. Though I cannot stress enough how grave the matter is. If we do not act together and do so fast, we will all end our lives as slaves, our children torn from us by the teachings of the demon prophet, ending our cultures, our faiths, our way of life. I ask you to speak your minds, but be aware that we must haste, lest our enemies have time to hinder our efforts. I will send emissaries to the Inca and the Kush who have for unknown reasons not been able to attend our meeting.

                            • To King Haakon from Tzar Simeon.

We find what was said against the Bulgarians to be very insulting. It’s clear that you are trying to use other nations to your own benefits and safety and not theirs. When have the Bulgarians been a threat to anyone except the long gone Romans? You need to build up a much stronger argument and case against us and show us proof that we the Bulgarians have any ill intentions to our neighbors! We have not threaten anybody with any acts or words, on the other hand you the Vikings have done just that, by threatening us and warning if borders with the Arabs are not closed we will suffer. So I would say that our nation is the one threatened not yours.

Please respond by showing proof against us, in order for us to build a constructive diplomacy. Vague statements won’t do.

                              Simeon

                              • To Simeon, leader of the Bulgarians

Simeon, you have lead the Bulgarians for a long time.
The Bulgarians are a strong and powerfull nation, known for the demise of the Romans. Known for their large territory that penetrates deep into lands that were supposed to be Egyptian.

The Bulgarians are known to be allies of the Arabs for a long long time. Which is to be respected since the Arabs were known to be peacefull wise people for a long long time as well. But times have changed. We all know that the Arabs have turned into a group of religious warmongering zealoats.

Therefor I think that the question that's been raised by the Vikings is a valid question! What is the position of the Bulgarians in the current conflict in the center of Terra? Do the Bulgarians follow the Arabs in their bloodthirst or will they break their alliance with their former friends?

We, the peaceful Krishnian nations of Terra can only decide upon our attitude towards Bulgaria if we know the Bulgarian attitude towards the Arabs. Questions need to be answered! What happened to our former king, Lala Lajpat Rai? What are the future thoughts of the Bulgarians with the territory they stole from the Egyptians? How will the Bulgarians plan to handle their neighbours in the south-west? How will the Bulgarian army, known for is power, be helpfull when the little nations int he south-west are being attacked by the Arabas? How are the Bulgarians planning to help the Choson in their current struggle for freedom?

Don't talk about being insulted when these clear questions are open and on your table, begging to be answered. Only when these questions are answered we can discuss terms of peace and friendship. Of course does it matter in what manner they are being answered.

In name of all free people of Terra, the Krishnians,
In name of all Indians in the world,
In name of Lala Lajpat Rai, the lost king of India,
