I checked the links, and that's PBEM-style to me, because PBEM also has diplomacy, long games that aren't cutthroat, the diplomacy is often very real, too!

Not always, but sometimes there'd be a LOT of that. Check my signature's first line. I once made a typo in a PBEM game announcing how my lush Spanish forests had many running beers .

Ozzy - I admit I underestimated your war ability. I had stone and was reasonably isolated, so I grabbed a few quick wonders and definitely paid the price.

You timed your attack perfect - 2 turns before I got war elephants and the first thing you did was take them out. I gambled you were more of a diplomat and I gambled I could see my tech lead thru to fruition. I GAMBLED WRONG

Regardless, you stomped me and did a good job of it.

I anxiously await another game.

RAH, I suggest we try and start the Sat games around3 or 4 EST. Then we could get in nice long sessions.

For you experienced players. How many people is optimal for an MP game? I know with simul turns that number of players shouldn't add too much extra time, (with more players the odds are higher that one person each turn will have a longer than average turn making the average turn a bit longer but not that bad) but in terms of response time, connection issues, etc.
