Attention All Diplogamers!

I d/l the save but when I dclicked on it and CIV started I got an error message about the message engine not being able to start or something like that, and the game froze
I think if I try to open it either as a pbem or hotseat game I could end up inadvertedly looking at someone else's game, and I don't wanna do that. Is there a way that I can see what the AI has been doing for me? Or do I have to wait till friday

...My friend was rushed to the hospital the day of the session at around 1 pm, he had a serious ailment and didn't realize it and nearly died. He did however fall into a coma...

wow, that sucks. Hope he recovers. Life has a way of surprising us all...

On the other subject, CIV has a nack for strainig relationshps...believe me, I know that well enough

I do really love the start we had with the game last friday. Though I have a bad taste about playing with only half of the participants.

I'm not against a new start next friday with everybody available. The start is important in the end, and I can see that it's not really preferable for players to pick up a game that was started by the AI.

For sure since the AI was just 'noble'.

Well Capo can't make it next week either. I say we just play on. Hopefully Deity Dude can sub and the others can make it. And no need to have pity on the other players, all the folks absent are off in areas with lots of available land. The people who got screwed with land are the four of us all cramped down in the south. (and surrounded by jungle) but I say we tough it out, it'll be interesting.

Really sorry to hear about your friend Capo, damn that's pretty scary that he is in a coma. I hope he recovers.

Nicoda, start the game up as a direct ip multiplayer game. Load the save and then launch it with you as the only player. You can get in and look around no problem. Just don't advance the turn.

Hehe, I totally agree. Its crazy how much we think about a game that really hasn't gone anywhere yet. Ah, this is the beauty of diplogames. Far more involving than a small map ladder game on quick. It'll only get worse as time goes on.

hopefully deity can sub for you if your girlfriend wont accept you taking 3 hours for yourself on your birthday. girlfriends + special occasions are valid absence reasons.

oh. and omnipotent trout's comp has attempted hara-kiri. he'll be working to get it back in shape for game on friday but no guarantees. though I might be able to get a sub for him. my unstable flatmate can take over. he plays too much WoW to be a regular, but he could probably be great at sub'ing.

He did join our game last week, but he had to leave early. He could join us without any problems.

Just in case you're talking to/about me....opened the game. All is good, except that our precious Incan empire has been under the rule of a ****** (AI is an oxymoron, im sure)
