  • FYI -- Bhruic, on CFC, has already published an unofficial patch (similar to Solver's one for 3.02) fixing some of the already apparent bugs in 3.13. Here's his current changelog:

    Similar to Solver's patch for 3.02, this patch modifies the CvGameCoreDLL.dll file. As with his version, it's best to make a backup of the dll before overwriting it. The source code for the changes is included (multiple files with a .cpp extension). These are only necessary if you will be...

    Changelog:

    * Fixed bug where culture/espionage would not display for building popups
    * Fixed bug where spies would be ejected from a square when declaring war
    * Fixed bug that caused the AI to trade for resources it already had (appears as grossly uneven trades)
    * Refixed trade bug
    * Refixed culture/espionage display bug
    * Fixed bug with Warlords attaching to units when the Great General is part of a selection group

    v1.02

    • I've never seen this happen before then it happens in my first game of 3.13, not that I'm complaining... He founded the city then just gave it to me...

      Errr, basically Hannibal gave me a city (as "a sign of respect") without me asking or anything. Don't know how to put the screenshot in.

        There is a "Lost units" mod, which features about ten or so units, that were - i think - implemented in the game by firaxis, but later removed, like the WWI-Tank MarkV. Those units (and much more) were then used by a lot of modders (like GeneticEraMod, Sevo i think, ViSa) to enhance the numer of units in their mods.

        I chose MarkV (Power 20, because the gap between Cavalry/15 and Tank/28 seemed to large) and the Strike Fighter (aka Jet Bomber), which is technically a fighter (and can be based on carriers) but bad in interception. On the other hand, he has good bombardment features (but no coll dmge) and can even destroy a unit by aerial bombardment (bombers only damage up to 50%) - which makes the Strike Fighter strategically not uninteresting.

              I've seen "liberate" appear as an option for non-vassals in the menu sometimes. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason as to why the word "liberate" appears next to the city name sometimes.

              I have NEVER seen an AI player just give up a city like this. What was the difficulty level selected here? Were you very weak (or very strong) compared to Hannibal?

              • I was at about 60% of Hannibal's power according to the graph on Prince difficulty. The city was only about 4 squares from my capital so maybe he thought it was going to be lost culturally eventually anyway. Even so, never seen it before out of all the games I've played.

                  My apologies if this nit has already been picked but...

                  Argentina is in South America while Mexico is part of North America. Although on a Civ map I guess those would be the same continent.

                  • That was the point, in fact.

                    • Liberate is supposed to be for cities with mostly YOUR culture. Possibly it is a city of his with mostly your culture, as he hadn't cultured that area up very much?

                      Or it's a bug

                      • One very minor but nice thing I noticed with the patch was that the spy icon changes back to the old female spy icon when you reach the Industrial era.

                          Hi!

                          I have added some minor files, so that the icons of the markv and jetbomber are no longer a pink square.

                          Copy the files jetbomber.dds (aka "Strike fighter") and markv.dds in the directory assets\art\interface\buttons\units, the .nif file belongs in the folder assets\art\units\jetbomber (has to be created).

                          I have added the new zip-file

                            I cannot believe in the 21st century adults still use lame put downs like this. Where is your shame? I have no idea what kind of game you are playing, but you lose it based on this smart ass comment. Because of your logic no one should criticize anything he cannot do himself. Movie reviews.. Food reviews...Monday night football..Computer game reviews.. All pointless to you.

                            I hope to see you and your inane ilk in hell.

                                That's *exactly* what happened to me. Same leader, same liberation, same city founded where it was unlikely he was going to hold on to it.

                                Is this a new "personality" of Hannibal? Or could the AI for him in particular be slightly messed up?
