I'm not asking "why" he's not in the game. I'm asking if he should be, and if not, should the other atrocitys be included.

It doesn't make threads disappear. Thus I still have a valid criticism. And I can't use the ignore list on all setters who decide Hitler ought to be in - it doesn't work that way.

You're the one missing the point. The purpose of civ is to make money. Therefore, if Hitler will not contribute to that, he ought not to be in. There are no other moral statements you can make. No wrong is committed by leaving him out.

It's not just marketing. You'd have to have Hitler discs and Hitlerrein discs, and there would be additional production & distribution costs. And would there be legal costs if you accidentally sent the Hitler discs where you shouldn't? At the very least there'd be recall costs, and (now back to marketing) lost sales from negative pub and not having the Hitlerrein product on the shelves.

I'll leave this thread once and for all with the conclusion that Firaxis comprimized the integraty of its product from a historical standpoint for the sake of money.

i think that hitler as a leader would just be plain stupid, one because it would encourage people to think that hitler was more powerful than he was when they win with him, and he was a very evil man who thought he should deserve to get to rule the world, and of course he was about to build a nukelear wepon. and for the last time, Kuciwalker wat is your problem! i mean you have like five responces on this thread and like fourteen on one of mine! just post your reply and be done with it, you dont have to let everyone know what you think!
