For China: All Libraries, Universities, and Academies add to a low percentage per turn check for "Cultural Revolution". During the 10 turn Cultural Revolution, all Libriaries, Universities, Acadamies and Settled GP's are destroyed. All specialists are assigned to work on tiles or starve or both. For balance purposes, this only happens once per history of the game.

For Japan: Cell Phone Tower (replaces Broadcast Tower) all happiness bonuses apply, but -1 hammer for loss of production due to mass texting, music and video downloading, gaming and other incessant cell phone activity. (Note: the only reason this does not apply to the American Civ is the lack of similar cell phone infrastructure.)(But we are working on catching up, just as soon as we finish programming our ring tones to something even more obnoxious.)

For the Romans: Aqueduct (replaces Aqueduct) keeps +2 health but adds -1 happiness for each ridiculous and embarassing graphics decision the game makes for drawing Aqueducts. ("We didn't build them that way!")

That was so rude it was almost as much fun as playing Civ.

UB - Greasy Spoon Cafe - +1 happy, -2 healthy.

Canadian Great Merchant: Immediately sells all buildings in the city to foreign countries.

American Great Merchant: Finds tax loopholes to avoid making any contribution to the nation. Doubles own salary.

and/or:

Forces all citizens in city to work in fast food restaurants after moving all operations to third world countries. Also avoids making contribution to nation and doubles own salary.
