Diplomacy Requests:
1. Non-Aggression Treaties : Arbitrary-length treaties wherein two Civs promise not to go to war with one another. These could be bought off with resources and/or gold and/or State Religion : "Here's Fur, Spices, and 5 gp/turn, now PLEASE don't attack me!" or, "Hey, so long as we maintain our Open Borders and you're Hindi, I promise not to attack you. I might not defend you, but..."
2. Not-My-Affair Declarations : If Vicky and Tokugawa want to spent 2,000 years sporadically declaring war on one another and trading cities, that's fine -- but I'd like them to stop asking me to participate given they're podunk Civs half way around the world.
3. Civilian vs Military Open Borders : At some point one should be able to close one's borders to foreign civ's military units yet still allow explorers, great people, workers, etc. Similarly, if Cyrus has to cross Egypt to attack me, he should have to make special arrangements with Happy and not just wander over. Finally, if I then go to Happy and ask her to close her borders to Cyrus's troops, *Cyrus* should get the Diplo hit if he decides to declare war on Happy to get to me.
Religious Requests:
4. It's my religion, I can stop your petty war if I want to: I have the Christian Holy City and I've built the Church of the Nativity. Napolean and Asoka, both Christian States, go to war with one another. I should be able to have some sort of diplomatic option to stop them slaughtering one another
5. It's my religion, I can declare a holy war if I want to: As above, but require all Christian State Civs to declare war on some other religion. If they refuse -- Schisms!
6. They're both my religions, I can declare reciprocity if I want to: I have founded Hinduism and Taoism; I should be able to make some sort of "can't we all just get along" declaration so that those two religions don't consider each other "Heathen"
7. It's not my religion, get it out of my civ! With varying results and unhappiness, Anti-Missionaries that can go around and try to stamp out unwanted religions in my Civ.
Trade Requests:
1. Notification when a new commodity comes on the market / new trade routes open up. Something akin to the Great Person Born in ... notification : "Galleons from India arrive in London bearing Spices, Pigs, and Gems for trade..." Otherwise you have to remember to hit F4 every turn to see if someone's got something.
2. Some sense of resource scarcity affecting prices. If 4 Civs have Dye to trade, they shouldn't *all* want 30/gp a turn. Simiarly, if one Civ has all the Dye, they should charge 60/gp turn.
3. With *insert tech here* Deficit spending : No more selling Replaceable parts for World Map and 200 GP just because you really need the cash; Civs use debt, loan gold, etc.

I want to be able to win without a single war.
Not hard on Prince, I find. That is, until Blake's pop-rushing AI gets incorporated, and the AI wil be able to whip & draft mighty armies in no time.
I think some of us might need to move our peaceful games down a level when that comes in.

Religion should be improved.
-I want to be able to declare a holy war or djihad against the infidels if I have a holy city.
-Or make a declaration about "that other religion ain't so bad" so that the heathen penalty is reduced.
-Or use the religius tech tree to modify my religion and impose chivic like policy changes that affect the whole religion.
-Or found a splinter group (like protestants or shiite) with its own holy city (wich would only provide gold for citys that are protestan, while the city where christianity was founded would get gold for all christian citys), it would be like the way, the Vatican is special for chatolics or Constantinopel was for the qrthodox church but they didn't replace Jerusalem wich is special to all Chrisitans (more that their "sect" holy citys). That way you colud have control over that version of the religon, but would have a heretic diplomacy penalty (unless you convince everyone that a reformation is nesecary)- your missionarys could spread the "herecy" more easily to city's wich have christianity. City's that don't would become christian and protestant (as an example). The Vatican could still show the Arab protestants that catholicism is better.I'm not buying BtS until Firaxis impliments the "contiguous cultural border negates colony tax" concept.
