The title made my head hurt, so I stopped thinking about whatever the issue was supposed to be.

              Gee, thanks.

Well, my Babylonian rhetoric has been posted elsewhere, so I will simply say:
Leader: either Hammurabi (Exp/Cre) or Nebuchadnezzar (Agg/Org)
UU: either a replacement for archer or horse archer
              UB: Ziggurat

I would order the other three thusly:
              2. Hebrews (quite needed, in my opinion)
              3. Byzantines (redundant with Rome but better than...)
              4. Phoenicians (totally redundant with Carthage)

As such I have no defense.

Apparently its Banana people by a landslide. I personally do not think we need more civs to play- after Warlords I believe that we will have plenty. I do not mind adding leaders, however, because a choice of trait combos add to replay value for each civ, and add variety to gameplay style. It would be nice if there were at least two leader choices for each civ.

I do not think that any of the civs listed above are really significant enough to warrant firaxis adding them to list. Most of the above are just offshoots or precursors to existing civs.

My thoughts exactly (despite the high spam score of my earlier posts, I maintain that it was a false positive ). Debates about which civs should be in and which civs shouldn't be in are endless, and given that we have enough (maybe too many), I think it's a needless endless debate to have. There are more important things that we could be doing (e.g. making mods with additional civs so that those interested in them can play them), and that Firaxis could be doing (e.g. using their artists' talent to make art for new scenarios and mods, or for making Victoria hotter).

Civs really take most of the artist's time. But that is because creating units or buildings for mods doesn't take nearly as much time as creating one leaderhead.

Exactly - leader animations, diplo music, whatnot. And then there's the demand that each civ and leader makes for balancing, playtesting, etc.

Now that I think about the Phoenicians and Hebrews could combined. First of all they were both Semetic. The Temple of Solomen was built by arcitects and builders sent by Solomen's friend King Hiram I of Trye. They were also each influeced by the Sea people. It probalby won't happen but it could be done.

Well I would really like to see bannana people. They can have special abilities (like being able to place the bannana resource anywhere) however to balance them out, their only unit is the bannana man, who has only 5 strength but is aviable from the begining and gets 3 movement. Costs 30 shields on normal/noble (archer is 25 I think). They also have a special bannana technology which allows them to create a new unit called bannana tree which has 10 strength.

Believe me, balancing leaders is far, far easier than some of the other balance testing issues that come up.
