I think we should be a bit cautious about polls like this particular one. Otherwise there might be a fair possibility that there WILL be a banana-civ added to the next expansion. And an animated banana-leaderhead.

"The Bananas" would probably have a special building witch would allow them to get more out of the banana-resource and of course the banana-special unit ... The "bananafeeder" witch is not particulary strong but it have an unique ability in that it could force its target into eating bananas. After eating too much bananas, the target will have too much vitamines in their bodies and thus it becomes ill. This permanently lowers the units strenght if it survives the battle against the bananafeeder.

Though Babylon, Byzantium, and the Hebrews are all very worthy choices, I'd choose the Poles. They have a rich history and culture, they were a major European power for a few centuries, they have yet to be included in any Civilization game, and it would be the first time that the western Slavs have ever been represented.

They have plenty of good leaders to chose from, and their UU could be the Hussar.

How about the Slovaks? They set up the first Slavic empire, which included Poles, Czechs, and Croats, and brought Christianity to the Western Slavs. Of course, it only lasted 80 years, then the Hungarians and Germans tore through the kingdom. Yeah, maybe Poland is a better choice.
I think the Poles would be a final European civilization, though. We have enough already.

I do agree that the choices in the poll are all worthy to some extent. I think that Babylon would be the most worthy, but if there is going to be another Near/Niddle Eastern civ, Assyria or the Hittites may be better choices (maybe even more than the possible hidden Sumerian civ from the pre-vanilla screenshots).

Polish Civ should be insluded, It is very, very disappointing that there is no Polish Civ... Your right, Wycoff, Polish Husaria (all of Hussars) is a unit, which is my country proud the most...

Wladyslaw Jagiello - he defeted Teutonic Knights in 1410 (The Grunvald battle).

Jan III Sobieski - Turkish invasion on Austria would be succesfull if he won't help them to defeat their capital-Vien). He used Hussars, and won with great Turks...
By the way... Some years later Austria helped Russia and Prussia to destroy Poland completly for 123 years, but this don;t have to be commented...

Starting techs could be a mysticysm and Hunting (Lakes, forests, and Mountains on Poland's area caused Ancient Poles to hunt... And Slovian's Polytheysm survived to 1100 (???-Poland converted to Christianity 966, Russia a bit latter, but it had taken many time to all pople convert new religion... It is deficoult to say...). But Every Civ dreams about mysticysm and hunting , so techs are disscusable...

From the Civ's, Will9 placed into the pool... I have said about Jewish people (now I know it's "Hebrews" in English), so I will say: The Hebrews should be in Civ at the first... And Babilonian's too... B@N@N@S Empire-there's no disscusion-they should include it as early as it possible! ... They should be in a next patch! ...
From Europe... Hmm... Checks history is rather not so clear... My suggestion is to include Croatia, Jugoslavia or sth from that area... Bizantium...? Maybe yes, but there were Macedonia, Ancient Rome, Ottomans ond maybe other... I suggest Turkish Empire (Turkish culture is very characteristic... And Mayan's Empire (Just the same reasons as Aztecs and Incans...). So, this is my 5 (6) most needed Civs:

Jewish Empire
Babylon
Jugoslavia (???)
Turkey
Maya Empire
B@N@N@S!!!

And European Civs, which died... Like Prussia...

Austria-Hungary Empire maybe too... Or only Hungary, because there is no other glorious Civ in this part of continent...

We already have the Ottomans so Turkey probably won't be added. Yugoslavia probably won't added either. Other than that all worthy civs.
