I'm one of those that really likes to see more civs added, but I generally won't use any of the player-made civs... I get really tired when playing a game and always running into the same civs/leaders again and again. I'm eagerly awaiting the new civs in Warlords and hope that we see more in the next expansion as well.

Sumeria/Babylon/Akkad/Assyria was an original civ in the history of the world. They are responsible for the Hanging Gardens. Seems reasonable to see them.

Another interesting add might be the Hittites (Egypt's and the Aegean people's old nemesis). Recent historians have contended they are the horse-loving people of Troy from the Iliad. More civs are fun.

This may be blasphemy, but while the animated leaderheads are fun -- they are not THAT big a deal. A lot of work for a non-ingame matter. If they weren't animated, the game would play exactly the same.

the funny thing is I never pay attention to the leader animations. I'm too focussed on gameplay.

I think they are animated fine, albeit they slow my computer down totally unneccesarily. It's a bit more fun with role-playing purposes to be actually talking to the other leader, and make it seem real when Alexander does his trademark put-his-hand-on-his-face-and-yawn-while-dragging-it-down maneuver.

The animations are for the most part great, and I'd hate to just have still pictures. Of course, I'm an animator, so I may be a bit biased in my tastes and preferences

Their alot more animated than civ 3, when they used to just move their head back and forth, or sneer at you, etc.

The animation is great, especially leaders like Shaka, Isabella, and Ragnar. But the computer resources demanded make us guys on low-end machines cringe a bit.
