I'm wondering exactly what that firepower change means too.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

If I read it correctly this will make injured units much more powerful, especially versus weaker units and is a major change. This should make the Tank v Archer situation less likely but will make defending with older units more difficult as well.
Yeah, you almost have to upgrade all the time now. That's gonna drain gold like a fire hose!

No problem with v1.0 and v1.09 versions!
I read over at CFC this is a problem with loading obsolete data via either Custom Assets\ or a Mod folder.

Did the MP code change at all?

I had my first ever MP problems last night. Got diconnected a handful of times, and out of sync once. And with a good friend I play with regularly.

Anybody played this WITH Harkonnen's fix still enabled? Or will it even allow you to patch if you have the modded ini file in there?

If it works, is the previous fix now totally redundant?

I think firepower = attack strength, so injured units don't get lamer at fighting because they're injured, they just die quicker. Not sure though because of the wording (I thought 'firepower' wasn't used anymore).

I think that´s what Soren said in an earlier post, yes.

Definatly giving a to this patch. I played a marathon game on a large map last night until the 1700's AD (when I had to crash, not the system) and didn't have any problems. Even afters Hark's mod I still had some issues with large maps and the system slowing. On 1.0v I couldn't play large maps at all without a CtD while still in the BC's.

hmm, displaying the first wonder movie after the patch:
takes about 15 minutes before the "video" (very slow slide show) starts. computer slows down so much it takes me 10 minutes to just save the game.
Win2k now says there isnt't enough virtual memory...

The old versions worked fine. Hmm. Is there a way to turn off the wonder movies ? Too bad cause I liked them.

ie. I select an enemy unit and I alt-mouse-over one of my own untis to see how the odds are if I am attacked.

That way it's easier to see if I should stay or run (or attack)

Thanks for the patch! I'll install it when I'm home!
CyberShy, there is no problem in letting the odds calculate the other way around too. However, how are you going to determine which unit attacks you? It depends on who will attack you, and there is no way of knowing...

I can't see a good way of visualizing that one.

DeepO: you just have to guess which unit will attack ... but I think this is an excellent suggestion.

Just loaded a game: ARO AD-2017.Civ4SavedGame. But the date now is 1997 AD, 20 years earlier...
Just for testing, I picked up another one, an old save, of the same game... ARO AD 1210.Civ4SavedGame, and the date is correct now, 1210 AD. Well, somewhere (some when?) between those dates, the game "jumped back" 20 years.

                                A bug?
