If I may add another addition, is it possible that the odds calculation will work as well for defending?
ie. I select an enemy unit and I alt-mouse-over one of my own untis to see how the odds are if I am attacked.
That way it's easier to see if I should stay or run (or attack)
Thanks for the patch! I'll install it when I'm home!Formerly known as "CyberShy"

Well, I've downloaded the patch, and it certainly speeds things up on my system. It was just about fast enough before, but now it's even better.
For example: Before this patch, when I pressed Ctrl+T it would take maybe 5 seconds to toggle the grid. Now it takes less than a second.
When zoomed out, it doesn't seem that much faster (a little bit) but zoomed in it seems much quicker (that's a subjective measurement - I have no way of doing an objective timing).
The only downside is that all the text disappears when I load an old game that uses the Dearmad "Slower Tech" mod, so unfortunately I had to abandon that game. New games work ok, though.
Oh yeah, the other thing I changed was upping my AGP Aperture size from 64MB to 256MB. My graphics card (Radeon X800 xl) has 256MB so I thought I'd make the aperture the same. I have no idea what effect that had, because I didn't test it. But I'm leaving it at 256MB anyway.
So, overall its a bigfor this patch.
Oh yeah, and MARATHON GAME SPEED! And text next icons in the Civilopedia! Yeaaaaah!Last edited by GodSpawn; December 23, 2005, 05:49.

Sheesh! I've gotten so hung up on WorldPainter that I forgot to play the game. I'll DL this as soon as I get home.
I'm dying to see if they have fixed the "strategy layer doesn't save with game" bug yet. I use that thing a lot but this not saving crap has got to go.
Also, some behind the scenes documentation would be a godsend. Please don't release the SDK without some serious documentation.
Thank you for a great game.

Re: Patch v152 out
Why would I use direct link if I don't want option to resume? I would use autopatcher instead.

Downloaded last night and played for a couple of hours, until my mouse froze over an open city screen. After a minute of expletives about Friaxis and their mothers, I realised my mouse batteries had just died.So far the patch works well with no problems.
Great work to get it out before Xmas.

Gah, I´m at my sisters house for the weekend. No Civ for at least three days. I don´t know if i can make it that long. I feel weak already...
Has AGP aperture size something to do with AGP cards? I have a PCI Express card, will changing the AGP aperture size do anything for me?I love being beaten by women - Lorizael
