Fact of the matter is that most civilizations have been dominated by men. It isn't putting down women, it's the simple truth. We don't need a PC inclusion of women into the leadership roles.
Sensible female choices have been added in the game: Victoria and Elizabeth for the English, Catherine for Russia, Hashepsut for Egypt, Isabella for Spain.
So she wasn't Queen, but she led armies, which may be seen as more important to some players here.
