  • I certainly hope so, but I don't think anything has been mentioned of it.

Civ 4 supports 320x240 (for GeForce Ti 4 and lower) and 640x480 (for GeForce FX and better) .

        • You're joking, but Civ 3 only supported 1024 x 768.

I knew I had a reason when buying the new one.

                • Pirates supports resolutions ranging from 640x480 to 1024x768, so I don't see why Civ wouldn't be able to support them too.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Because the units are so big that not a single one would fit on the screen at 800x600 .

Only? It should also support 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. We're in 2005, for God's sake... Think of all those people with flatpanels.

                        • So what was the resolution that Soren was demonstrating at E3 -- speculations, please.

                          • I'd be willing to guess 1024x768. It's almost a standard.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)
                            2004 Presidential Candidate
2008 Presidential Candidate (for what its worth)

Not very many people use those resolutions, text can be hard to read unless you have a humungous monitor. 15" - 17" is pretty much standard, making 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768 the standard resolutions.

Isn't that the one that used a tape drive instead of a floppy?
